This morning we decided to go on a bike ride. We breakfasted, made a picnic, blew up our tyres (which was actually a much longer job than it sounds) and then took two cars with two people and two bikes each, drove down to the lake and started our 11km bike ride along the Waterfront Trail.
Smallest bombed off without a care in the world. Small complained about everything, his legs, his bottom and his gears. We think his seat is too low for his enormously long legs so we need to sort that before our next ride. I was still achey but the ride helped to loosen me up a bit.
We had a lovely cycle alongside the lake, with not too many people on the trail. We stopped at one park on the way and just a few stops for photographs. We made it all the way to the boys favourite park and tried to find somewhere to eat our picnic.
There were flies everywhere so we ended up on the beach. It was lovely. The boys played on the park before we started on our way back. It took us an hour to get there (whereas when the boys and I came earlier it took us two hours but we did stop at every park and many benches!).
It was a good ride back with more moaning from Small but we got there in the end. On the way home Huffle nearly got hit by a car that wasn't paying attention.
Once home the boys played outside until Small came in for a soothing bath and Smallest and Huffle vacuumed the cars. I made a roast dinner and we played football while it cooked.
After our dinner we watched the end of Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix, had a game of table football and played Junior Monopoly.
The boys watched TV and went to bed. Huffle became Wasp Wiper-outer and got rid of two nests we had. We were going to leave them as they weren't bothering us but they started to get into the sun room and it is difficult to get through into the garden, especially now that smallest has been stung, he is even more afraid of them!
Bug-b-gone
The gloves were to stop him being stung and the towel around the face was to prevent him breathing in the spray! Gorgeous!

I usually get the title link but not this one? Hope Huffle didn't get stung! X
Huffle reminds me of John Merrick? Sounds a good day other than Small's legs being too long!
I forgot to explain. A man at the park was on the phone and he said "Dave lee calling.....". The boys heard "David meatball". We are just silly!!!! X
Yes I know what you mean ha ha!
Right!! Good luck with the wasp battle Mr Merreck :-D
