Vernalise your seed

As predicted the tree men arrived at 8am and chain sawing commenced. It took them just 30 minutes to take down the great squirrel holed woodpecker loved tree. There was hardly any tree inside the trunk at all, it was so rotten. I spoke to the men at the end to see if we could get any woodchips and they gave me their card to call the office. Otto came round soon after with a carton of homegrown cherry tomatoes to thank us for letting him know it was dangerous. He said he had no idea the tree was full of holes.

After the excitement of watching the tree come down, we had a slow morning mainly on gadgets. Late morning, the boys and I left Huffle working and went to visit Suffolk and family. We had nothing particular to do but it was a nice change of scenery and good to have my friend back.

The kids played football in the garden and we all had lunch. The boys then played a new game which was very complicated. Later they played FIFA on the Wii. Suffolk and I had a nice sit in the garden and then we planned a new sewing room in the Basement. We chatted all afternoon and I took the kids home early evening.

After dinner, we all went for a walk at the top end of the Hamlet. Smallest took his scooter and tried some more apples and Huffle hatched two of his eggs. The lucky devil got a Pikachu and a Charmander.

We have a long weekend coming up. It is Labour Day on Monday which celebrates the last weekend of Summer so Huffle has a day off and the boys don't have to start school until Tuesday.
