The one where the dog goes on the ride and wears red socks!

Our garden yesterday from a different perspective, mainly taken so Moo could remember sitting on our porch and the beautiful flowers that were out.

Huffle went off to work today leaving the rest of us to go on an adventure by ourselves. We drove to Downtown Toronto, parked the car and walked to the Ferry. No queues today but the ferry had just left so we got the ferry to Wards Island which was smaller and lovely and empty. Ten minutes later we arrived at the docks and then had a lovely 2.5 km walk to Centre Island and Centreville. Today's weather was very cloudy, occasionally cool but just nice for a theme park. By late afternoon it was hot and the clouds disappeared.

Centreville opened at 10:30 and we got there about 11:30am. No queues again, we got our wristbands and our hands stamped and went straight onto The Vintage Windmill Ferris Wheel. Small and I went on together (because we don't rock the carriage) and Moo and Smallest (because Moo does!). Smallest decided he didn't like heights just as they got to the top. They were exactly opposite us so we were at a good point for waving and taking photos. Small and I were the first of our lot to get on so we expected to be the first off too but everyone else including Moo and Smallest got off and we went round and round and round again. In the end we had to shout at the man to stop it as we had been on too long!

Next we queued for the bumper boats but got bored and went on the Log Flume. The boys ran off ahead and were already on by the time we got to them. They loved it. Moo and I went on and the boys went round and on it again. While we got our coffees the boys went on the scary dark loud ride and the boat ride.

We decided to stop for dinner and got a slice of pizza each which we ate whilst watching the boat ride. The boys queued for the bumper boats while Moo and I finished our coffee and then we joined them. We all had a boat each and we bumped and squashed each other. It was fun but slow and the engine was so hot!

The boys went on the bears next and swung it round so fast that Smallest fell inside and hurt himself (not badly though, he soon recovered). We all went on the lazy train ride and toured the park to see if were missing anything. Moo spied the canoes but we think they were a club and not part of the park unfortunately. Back onto the log flume for Moo and I while the boys went back in the scary dark loud ride (this was one Moo and I went on two years ago and were both nearly sick!). The boys joined us on the log flume and we all went on together. Moo and Smallest went on the Spooky Barrel ride while Small and I went on the Swans (boring slow and we weren't allowed to bump them!).

Merry Go Round next where we spied a woman taking her dog on there! REALLY! Smallest and I won the race here, him on a pig and me on a fine specimen of a horse. The boys wanted to go on the Ferris wheel again so they went on their own while I fetched more coffee.

We decided we had had enough and made our way to the Centre Island Docks to get the ferry. We didn't have to wait too long but there were a lot of people on this one.

15 minutes later and back on dry land, we walked to the Gelato shop where we purchased ice creams. Smallest had a Lemon and a Lime. Small had Salted Caramel and Orange. Moo had Salted Caramel and Ginger Lemon. I had Salted Caramel and Cappuccino but she gave me the banana peanut butter - safe for dogs one instead so she changed it for me. We sat outside eating and then walked along the harbour front, stopping for a long rest and lots of photos.

We also saw a man walking a dog who had red shoes on (yes the dog, not the man!!!!). We eventually walked back to the car and drove the hour and five minutes back home. A good journey considering we were in rush hour traffic. We took the 404 instead of the 401 (I am documentating that in case I forget for future).

WHAT A LOVELY DAY.

Good photos, day sounded fun plus interesting icecreams after. Like the sound of the boys' ones.
