It's SNOW funny!

A cool day again with rain and some snow flurries in some places. Everyone had a good sleep and got up later than usual. All helped with breakfast and we had mini pancakes for with lashings of fruit.

All the boys watched the Stoke game (WIN) and I sat upstairs and watched the end of Cinderella (yeah I finally got to see it. Having all boys in the house, no-one else wanted to see it), knitted and finished my coffee that Small made for me, plus watched out for the Leicester score (DRAW but ten points above all other - wahooo).

We had a quick tidy and Hoover of all bedrooms and the kids played with their Pokemon cards in some sort of battle. This afternoon we went out to Whitby for the Food Truck Frenzy. The temperature was only 6* and it went down to 4* with some weird black clouds, sleet, and steaming roads (very strange). There were 30 different food trucks there and we started with Arancini Balls. The boys had never had these but now they love them. We had two each. Then we tried to get a tornado potato, which is a potato spiral fried on a stick but they had sold out, so we settled for a small pizza from the stone oven giving us a small slice each.

I tried to find a coffee place but there was only Tim Hortons (not real coffee in my opinion). We found out later that because Tims was sponsoring the event, they wouldn't allow anyone else to sell it. BOOOOOO you Tim Hortons! So I had to have a beer instead ha! Smallest got a Peach Smoothie and Small had a Hot Chocolate to keep his hands warm. Smallest did a craft which included a mono print. One he brought home and the other went on their wall. We all had some Churros (which are not a patch on the ones we had in a Spain market) and then we finished with some shared hand cut fries and sat and listened to the Blues band. One of the singers/guitarists had played with Bowie. They were very good but it was too cold to sit for too long. We visited Aninas Bakery Truck on the way out and brought some treats home to eat with a warming cup of tea.

Huffle and I Facetimed Grandma and Grandad and the boys carried on with their battle until Huffle took Smallest to his football practice dressed in fleece, gloves and hat. It snowed but not too much, though the flakes were the size of 50p pieces (as Grandma said "fifty pence pieces have edges like a snowflake"). Grandad sent me a photo today of one of his tulips which he says rivals Monty Dons tulip on Gardeners World.

Monty left and Grandad right

Small and I stayed at home and played Disney Monopoly - he beat me the little big rascal!
