I can't remember my dream but Moo dreamt that she was playing Skip-Bo. That's funny.
Very foggy day |
This morning, Smallest and I made waffles for breakfast. We made far too many and will be eating them for the next few days at least. Huffle made us hurry to get ready and we were all out of the house by 10:15am in order to get Smallest to his football game. Once again we stood outside the changing room catching up with the other parents and having a laugh while the team were getting their pep talk. Upstairs on the balcony we were a full house, both sides supporters were up there (mainly mums except for Huffle, Small and another Dad from our team). It was very loud on the balcony. The game was exciting and our team won 4-2.
We came home so Smallest could get his shower and get changed ready for his party at 2pm. We didn't feed him as he was promised pizza and cake at the birthday boys house before going on to the cinema to watch Star Wars. Once he had been picked up, the rest of us went off to get dinner but not before I had a lengthy text and phone conversation with MrBasement about the kitchen. He is going to start work a week on Monday. He will be here for a week and he will be taking out the old kitchen (with our help) and putting in the new cupboards (which we are building ourselves). In the meantime, he has already contacted a granite place and will contact them again on Monday when a salesman is there to get quotes. Week one - old cupboards out and new ones in. Week 2/3 granite gets fitted. Week 4 - plumbing and tiling done. So mid-February we should be all done.
We ate in a local place and played a game of Go Fish while we were waiting for our food. Completely full of food, we came home where Small and Huffle started to put together a kitchen cupboard while Moo and I went for a walk along the railway. It's just a slow moving freight railway so even if anything does come, it gives you plenty of warning, is very loud and extremely slow. The walk was hard going as the tracks were all snowy and the wooden sleepers were not quite at a step distance. It was a nice walk though and helped towards my 10,000 goal.
Bottom Right - Moo is looking bewildered
The technical support people finally got back to me this afternoon after my counter had sorted itself out and now seems to be working properly again. We walked for about 50 minutes and came back and started emptying the cupboards. Huffle and Small had built one cupboard and were playing on the Wii. Huffle built three others later while Moo and I were still emptying the original ones. Moo made countless trips to the loft (two flights each time) to put all of our stuff up there. I bet she has done her steps today.
Smallest came home and told us they hadn't gone to the birthday boys house and hadn't had ANY food, except an ice cream. He was starving but he had had a good time. He had some tea in front of the TV and we all watched Ninja Warrier UK.
