Huffle slept but only past 3am. What a silly. He needs to stop that!
Today we had a day in where we watched the football (the boys downstairs watching Stoke win 2-1) and me upstairs watching Leicester Win 1-0 while I sewed), the boys played on the Wii and their tablets and Huffle and I moved the double bed from the loft and into Small's room. He obviously is not small anymore, he's rather large and his little single bed just doesn't really fit him anymore (okay so he does sleep with a four foot long dog called Charlie but that's not the point). To accommodate the bigger bed, we also had to move his big shelves, bedside table and drawers, which also meant lots of dusting and hoovering too. Plus the bedding needed washing too. It was such a lovely day outside (cold but very sunny) that I put some of the washing on the line.
Apparently Leicester fans were asked to leave an hour after the game finished. They stayed singing 'we shall not be moved' |
We fit in breakfast and lunch and put the single bed upstairs in the loft. These beds are all wooden ones with lots of slats so it was more than just moving them, we had to take them apart and re-assemble them. All done now. The loft looks like 'Goldilocks' bedroom now (so Huffle says). A small bed in a huge room. We think it will all work out fine for our visitors as Small is happy to swap whenever needed.
Smallest and I played a couple of games of Chess and Stack 'Em Up during the day and Huffle played football outside with both boys. The boys also watched TV, helped with the moving and played nicely together (apart from the name calling!!!).

Hope there's more than one single bed in the loft, or it will be like a second honeymoon for G&G!!!!
Part of the reason was to give them the option of less stairs
