Smallest's game today was full of controversy and started pretty much the minute we entered the building. The Coach summoned the parents into the changing room after removing the kids first. He started by telling us that as a successful team we were obviously going to get attention from other teams and unfortunately the attention we are now receiving is not good. He has been 'told off' and now we were needed to be 'told off'. The club and league have asked for parents to not 'coach' from the side lines. The only people allowed to 'coach' were the coaches. Although saying that, the coaches have been told that the coaching should be 'player centric'. Not position centric! In other words, the coach should put the players on the field and they should find their own positions!!!! What do you think to that Grandad? We decided to place Huffle behind the glass where he couldn't be heard instead of next to Big Franks' camera. Apparantly one of the top coaches there has been watching the videos that Big Frank has been filming, where Hiffle was specifically asked to commentate on. Interesting. It honestly made the whole atmosphere dead there today. I know I normally complain that Huffle commentates on everything and it infuriates me at times but he was asked to commentate on the videos. At one point during the game the parents of the other team were 'coaching' from the sidelines and I had just made such a comment on Facebook when the referee turned to the parents on the side of the pitch and asked them to be quiet. YAY! The game was ruined for Huffle who sat in a corner behind the glass uncharacteristally quiet. The boys themselves put in some different positions to normal and the Coach told Smallest, at the end, to hoof the ball up the other end if we are ahead towards the end of the game (a bit confusing really for him and had Huffle been able to do his normal 'shouting' he would have told him to do just that). Smallest's team won the game 2-1.

Smallest got to stay Home Alone while we were at the match and still wasn't dressed when we got home. After Smallest's shower and Small getting dressed, we went out for dinner where we were served by a softly spoken Glaswegian. We kept an eye on the Leicetser game - HURRAH WE WON.
Late afternoon Huffle watched the Stoke match, the boys played on the Wii and I sorted and put away all our games on the basement shelves. I managed to put aside loads of games that the boys no longer want (garage sale). Later we all played a Pokemon game and Small won the final battle and messed about with a Christmas present. We watched a Car Racing TV programme until the kids went to bed.
