Float your Fanny down the Granny

Smallest and I celebrated ClownRose's birthday today as she worked yesterday. We decided to meet up mid morning so Smallest and I had a lazy morning. We played games, showered, sorted the recycling, made a mess and cleared it up again. We did some drawing, some colouring, some playing of 'rat on a snowboard'.

This is the clown chicken I made her

Whoops I left the water running a bit too long!!!

Smallest noticed we had mail and went to get it. Oh my goodness, he kept dropping it, it was really funny.

And there was a package for him so he opened it..............

Wow, brilliant. It was from Aunty Miaow and Uncle Tuc. Thank you soo much. He thinks it's great. Especially when he shoots the arrows at my enormous bottom.

We went over to ClownRose's and gave her her presents. Then we all went to town and had lunch and then shopped for her party this evening. BabyMo fell asleep in the car so I spent most of the time in the car waiting, but at least I sat down and rested. Nice. Smallest went into a shop with her and was given some money to buy anything he wanted (just the dollarama store) and he came out with a chocolate bunny and a Carton of orange juice (because ours at home is pulpy and no-one but me likes it). Of alll the things he could have bought!!

inspector Cluseau (her husband) bought her some lovely roses.

...........................And she put her clown chicken here.

Smallest and I came home just in time for Small's bus turning up. In fact the bus was in front of us and we took a different turn so that we were in front of the bus. Huffle came home early which was nice. We were playing in the garden with the bow and arrows and Nerf guns. Smallest rode his bike along the road for a while. I shot an bullet on the roof by accident, Small got grumpy at me, Huffle tried to get it down with the ladder but couldn't quite reach it.

We had a visit from Drew who lives across the road (ish) from us. We gave her a tour of the garden and she told us what the trees were and some of the plants. She told us that she had just been to a place where they have boat races on a river. The boats were anything from canoes to oil drums made into boats. She said there wasn't enough water to float this year. The race is called "float your fanny down the granny". Huffle found this very funny.

We went off to ClownRose's party. I vacuumed for her because she was behind in her chores. Huffle and Small started the fire pit. Smallest ate the popcorn. We stayed outside for as long as we could but in the end had to go inside as it was too cold.

Small collecting sticks for the fire pit

They both put the candle holders in the ground but we couldn't light the candles because the wind kept blowing them out.

The garden bathed in sunlight

Huffle and Small got the fire pit lit

Lots of friends arrived. Lots of beer was drunk. Burgers eaten. Huffle took the boys home just after 9pm and I stayed until just past 11pm, then came home because I was too tired. Nice bunch of people.

Still a full moon

Everyone is off tomorrow. Hurrah.

Everett - how funny is that saying? Fanny of course over here means your bum! The open space is wonderful. I guess it's that much bigger than England.
