What's good about it?

We had an email from Grandad and he sent us this picture......

This is part of our 'shopping list' they are bringing next week. Ummmmmmm they look nice. Hope he doesn't eat them on the plane.

We Skyped Moo this morning while we were eating English Muffins and toasted Hot Cross Buns, but the connection was very slow. The picture kept freezing and the words weren't synching. Must be lots on today wishing their loved ones Happy Easter. We talked about the meaning of Easter and why it was called Good Friday. It was then that small said "well what's good about it, didn't he (Jesus) die?". Good point!

We decided not to go out today with it being Good Friday as we thought everywhere would be very very busy. We had the idea it might be nice to play in the garden, all of us, and have a nice, fun, relaxing-ish day. Huffle and I cleaned (thoroughly) the sun room, wd40'd the mechanics of the doors, vacuumed the nooks and crannies, cleaned away the cobwebs. It looks so much better now. The sun was warming the room and it was lovely being in there. The boys fired their guns and bow and arrows. Some of the bullets got stuck on the ceiling (I think that was my fault, whoops).

The boys finished off their cards for Uncle Dermott. Uncle Grump had a lovely idea that the kids all create a card that we could scan and send to him so that they could be put with the flowers at the funeral on Tuesday. They both drew pictures of him at the garden show, showing off his prize vegetables and getting a trophy for first prize. What a lovely memory to have of him.

The boys made monsters from a kit that the DotDots bought Smallest for his birthday.

Smallest wrote another thank you note. Then they went out and played. They ended up fighting (what's new?) one with a shovel and the other with a baseball bat - Huffle intervened. They got the tent out and broke it, then fought some more till we called them in for a 'bonfire dinner' as Huffle called it. Corn on the cob, jacket potatoes, sausages, salad.

Huffle had a lovely chat with Mr Gator today. He needed to know whether Mr Gator expected him to go to his Dad's funeral. It has been a tricky time here working out whether he should go or not. When we first heard about Uncle Dermott, Huffle nearly got a plane straightaway. Thank goodness he didn't. There were complications that meant that the funeral couldn't go ahead immediately so he would have been there (UK) for ages or else had to come home and then maybe go again. Anyway, after much deliberation and discussion between ourselves, and Huffle and his Dad and Huffle and Mr Gator, he has now decided that he won't go. Hopefully everyone can understand that we are not missing it because we don't care. We care very much and wish we could be there to support Mr Gator, Madamme Courvoisier and the rest of the family.

In the afternoon we played Hide and Shoot. One person had a gun or lighsaber and went in search of the others hiding in the garden. When Smallest was searching we all hid in the barn under a pile of boxes. He found Huffle and Small but I got left in there for ages sitting in the cold concrete floor. We hid in bushes, behind trees, in the barn. It was quite funny.

We had a Skype from HB and Aunt Pear. We took them down the garden but the sun was too bright for them. We had a good chat.

Huffle and I moved some garden ornaments around. The boys fought like crazy today. Good Friday? Good Grief! They had a really late night last night and are obviously suffering. Guess what? They are going to bed early tonight. Whoooopppeeeeeee.

Huffle wants to catch up on the Masters and football and I have some knitting I want to try and finish. Look at us? Living the high life eh? (oh that was Canadian wasn't it?)?

I have been having trouble with Blogsy again (the tool I write my posts on). I would once again like to thank the Blogsy Guys (Lance especially) for their wonderful help in sorting it out. They must get so many problems and yet they always email and come up with a solution. fabulous, and they came up with a better way for me to add my photos, so it takes less time to blog. Yaaaayyyyy.
