Nutter over Niagara

Last night we sat and watched LIVE in our living room, the tight rope walker who walked from America across Niagara Falls to Canada.

He did it. Well done, mad man! Not sure why he had to do it. Anyone else that has attempted to jump it, fall down it etc, have all done it for fame. Is that why he did it? If so, that's sad! Hope he gets more fame than the others!! Huffle said "it was dull!". Moo's comment was "he's an idiot to be quite honest!". Who paid for it? When he got to the other end he had to show his passport. He said he hadn't brought anything across. We recorded it for Small as he is very interested in anyone trying to cross the falls.

This morning Huffle came in and woke me up. Everyone was already up and they wanted pancakes, so silly me had to get up and make them.

We had a pancake face making competition - whose is the best?

Huffle just ate his!

After so much sugar and chocolate, the kids went crazy. Huffle and I decided to go out and left Moo with them! (not just because they were crazy!!!!).

Instead of a relaxing for a couple of hours, we bought wood for 2 more veg beds and the brackets, posts to make our dry hedge, a basketball, a BBQ and some food to go on it. We bought a few cheap perennials and a couple of citronella candles to keep the Mosquitos away.

The boys had behaved well for Moo. We came back and had lunch in the shade.

The kids played on the computer for a while while Moo read her magazine on the new beanbag (which was actually Huffle's Fathers Day present to himself!). Huffle and I started to assemble the BBQ and then Moo joined us when it was obvious it wasn't so easy!

Busy with the BBQ

The boys were too hot so we got the sprinkler out to cool them off! Then once we had finished assembling the new toy which probably took us 2.5 hours, we started our BBQ. Having never really done it before we tried all sorts. Salmon, turkey, sausages, veg kebabs, sweet corn, garlic bread.

it was very good. Plenty for everyone. For afters we toasted (or grilled) marshmallows.

Huffle finally gets to lie on his new bean bag and eat his marshmallows.

Small toasted for us and his look of amazement is because I am toasting five in one go! They were very yummy!

Moo put the boys to bed and we sat on the front porch drinking tea and coffee and being entertained by our neighbour Don NoQuotey.

Nice!

Happy Fathers Day Huffle!

Loving your BBQ it looks like a very posh one! - soooo jealous it definitely beats ours (built in thing by the people that owned the house before us and for some reason they built it next to a wooden fence and a hedge so the hedge and fence get scorched when you use it!)

Good he should pay himself would imagine it costs a small fortune for all the scaffolding, cameras equipment etc. We are waiting for man to show us pool startup but as yet not seen him!

In English term the BBQ is immense but here it is quite a modest one. As we din't ever cook more than 30 burgers!!!!!!! We dudn't feel a bigger one be used. Yours sounds a clever build by someone he he he. Burn the hedge, don't trim it x
