Burlington Turkeys

We had a fabulous evening last night at KP & A's.

My little chef making pizza

Now time to add the toppings

Off we went this morning to take the last remaining hire car back to the Airport.  This time we didn't want to come home - although the weather was very reminiscent of UK (wet and drizzly - we got the blame for this weather too).

We took my car (the dog), I drove it to the airport (didn't get lost but did follow Huffle all the way!) and Huffle drove it to Burlington.  We saw Lake Ontario (and could see the other side too - well silhouette at least).  We found The Burlington Bertie's House and had a warm welcome.  They moved here from the UK two years ago so had lots of advice for us as well as some Welcome Presents.  I got a tin of Bisto Granules.  The boys got a kids snow shovel each and Huffle got a big mean snow shovel.

We had lunch there and then we all went off to play Ten Pin Bowling (Ultra Violet in the dark - cool).

Smallest bowling (yea go Smallest)

We had one game (all of us - Huffle won) And then the kids played one game by themselves.  Smallest was winning but Small just won in the end.

We were going to have a full Sunday Roast cooked for us by Mr Burlington Bertie but we ran out of time so had a stop at Boston Pizza instead.  I had a lovely Butternut Soup with Garlic Toast.  For desert the kids had blue Jello and mini choc pizzas.

Blue Jell-o - interesting!  It reminded me of anti-freeze.
......and look what it does to your tongue! - Small B

I left my handbag (Purse) in the place and we had to go back so we were quite late getting back.

Good day was had by all.  Much better than a week ago!

Still raining.  More rain forecast for tomorrow.

Looks like you've had a great weekend and it's nice to hear you all sounding much more upbeat! Perhaps you should ask for a case of Bisto Granules for Christmas, lol!

Hugs
