The Moo arrives

Last night the boys and I made a banner to welcome Moo through arrivals.
Small colouring in banner

Smallest concentrating hard on colouring
The finished product
One side said "Welcome to Canada ....Moo"
And the other side said "welcome ....Moo hope you bought Kit Kats"

Smallest and I were going to look for floor cushions and beanbags but that was put on hold due to the fact that we don't get our container now till 28December - a bit too long to be sitting on the floor!

Moo and I have to go to Whitby and Oshawa tomorrow (solicitors and pay for table etc) so we may use that time to look for something a bit more substantial.  Otherwise we are due to go to Ikea on Saturday (no boys invited!!) and may be able to pick up some chairs / cushions/ beanbags there.

We saw Deer in the grounds of our rental house this morning.  I took a cracking photo on the big camera but can't download those, so this will have do instead - use your imagination.

So Smallest and I picked up Small from school using the "Peck n Squeal" (you park in front of the school doors, peck your child on the cheek and then squeal go your tyres as you pull away) or something like that.  Small was very happy to leave school early.

We used the 407 (electronic toll road) to the airport and only went round a loop twice at the airport terminal looking for the car park.  We parked the car, ran into the terminal and looked for Moo's flight details on the board.  Then we positioned ourselves at the front of the barrier and waited.............

It didn't take long.  Then she was there.  Hurrah.  When we saw her she cried, and I cried and I wondered if she was upset because she had had a bad flight.  Oh no she had a fabulous flight, why? Becuase she had been upgraded to Club World.  The jammy so and so.  A little pod all to herself.  Wine on tap.  Newspapers (a choice!), a menu, a lovely meal, Vip lounge in the airport where she could eat and drink whatever she wanted.  It was fab to see her and the boys carried on as if she had always been there, talking ten to the dozen, Smallest holding her hand like he always does, carrying her suitcase for her (or riding on it while I carried it).

We got home and she emptied her case of all the goodies we had requested.  WOW!!!

Yorkshire Tea, Baked Beans, Tomato Soup, Cadbury's Heros, Taylor's Coffee, Kenco Decaf, Jaffa Cakes, Knorr Vegetable Stock Cubes, McVities Digestives.
Honey from her friends bees (and a spare pot for KP & A)

We will have a Christmas after all

Then as if all those lovely goodies and Moo arriving wasn't enough, we had a call from our good friends the Burlington Bertie's offering us two sofas for our new house and the offer of transporting them as well.  Ah bless, they are good to us.  They also told us where to find Clubs and Penguins.  Cool.

We're definitely getting a Christmas now

Moo has settled in very well, washing up, putting the kids to bed, reading them stories, making cups of coffee and tea.  She has left her good friends the Badminton Babe and Bridgenut looking after her house and birds and keeping her car on their drive.  That's nice, puts her mind at rest that they are being looked after.  Thanks BB&B, I'll make sure she brings you something back.

Huffle has set up the TV and we now have lots of lovely channels.  Not found too much yet but there has to be something worth watching on it.

Huffle also has to set up some meetings all over Canada.  One of the meetings has to be in Whitehorse - just looked at it on the map - OMG it looks close to Alaska - GREAT, I look forward to being left here then!!

Badminton Babe & Bridgenut are happy to know Moo has arrived safely, after all the worry of getting on the right plane she ends up in Club Class! Lucky so and so.
Have fun

There is British store my hubby goes too where you can get lots of stuff from home. I'll ask him where it is and let you know. But to me it's a bit pricey compared to Canadian prices but I do need to have my Lyles syrup and my Rose's Lime Marmalade:) I'm sure if I really looked I could find them elsewhere but....

Whitehorse is supposed to be nice...in the summer:)
