Madness

Last night we finished the Gingerbread House.  Hurrah.  It stuck!  It is a bit lopsided (a bit like our new house), and a bit untidy (a bit like our new house), and the door won't close properly (in our new house we can't open the front door properly), in fact it's perfect.  (just like our new house).

It is still standing this morning.  I ended up using melted chocolate to bond the roof together - seems to have worked.

It snowed overnight - just a little.  It was -7* today.
Moo had a video message from Santa this morning and she was told she was on the Naughty list and would have to be watched!!  She was very surprised but the boys thought it was funny.  Santa told her that she burped too loudly and that when she was in restaurants her burps were so loud other patrons thought a barge was going through!  She couldn't believe it (funnily enough, before she started watching the video she did a really big loud burp!!!).  He knows you know!!!

This is Moo being surprised that he could say such a thing!
Huffle had the day off today and so took Small to school.  The 'unpackers' turned up before I was out of my PJ's.
The red carpet was laid (a bit late for Moo's arrival though)

.......and then at 10:22 the container arrived. It was so strange to see the same container that I had watched leave The Village all that time ago.... And then it arrives here in The Hamlet, Canada.  Ahhhh we missed you.

Moo and I left Huffle and Smallest building an exercise bike in the basement while we directed the boxes and furniture.  I had the list to check off all the numbers on the boxes and Moo directed the boxes to the correct rooms.  The front door was open all day and it was freezing.  The unpackers were sweating with all their lifting and moving!

The Hall
The lounge, ooh look, there is my standard lamp, I forgot about that!
Looking through the window at the boxes due to come in.
The lounge
Smallest hiding in a box

The lounge - not looking any better
Our bedroom - ooh a bed, a big bed!  Now where's that quilt?

Small's room
Small's room - all unwrapped

Smallest's room - nearly done

The container left around 12ish and the unpackers finally left at around 2pm.

To celebrate all our hard work, we took Moo to the English style Fish and Chip shop.

Small showing us an icicle

Then home, kids to bed, wine and TV.  Oh no, there are still so many boxes to unpack.
