Moo and her new friend Fraser

It was -3 today and very cold.  It was -7 yesterday but today felt colder!

Today we went to look for a Christmas Tree.  The idea being that we would find a place that grew them, we would choose our favourite, and then we would cut it down and bring it home.  Nice idea, however, we couldn't find the place so we ended up buying one that was already cut.  We bought a Fraser Fir.
Chop it's butt!

Wrap it up"

Small was given a 'Charlie Brown Tree'.
We went off to buy a tree stand (not an easy job when it's this close to Christmas and the rest of Canada has all their decorations!!)  But we found one and Moo and the boys bought a few more bits for the tree.  The Tree was hurled up on top of my truck and Huffle and I secured the tree with extra Bungy Ropes and we went home and decorated him.

Nicely secured
Moo loves her new friend (tree hugger)

Fraser

We left the boys in charge of decorating while we threaded popcorn, rethreaded baubles, knotted chocolates, unraveled lights etc.  (I have to admit I went along later and rearranged them just a little bit - only because they were all in one quarter of the tree).

We had some new additions given to us..................

These three penguins are from Mr & Mrs B (given to is before we left)

This Santa is from Yahoo (bought for me on our last shopping trip in UK)

This reindeer is from Aunty A (sent to us whilst here from UK)

This is one of two birds that Grandma asked me to buy
(One is called Grandma and the other is called ....Moo).

Smallest and Moo ended the evening by creating some more decorations.  The owners of the house we bought left us a bottle of wine, a huge Poinsettia and a box of wooden paint your own decorations so the boys have been creating many.

Your tree is lovely. I'm glad to see you settled in your home finally.
