Senior Swimming

Small, Smallest and I sat around the kitchen table this morning. Smallest looked around and said "where's Moo?". I said that maybe she was still in bed and didn't know she could get up because no one had told her! He ran straight up to her to tell her!

Small missed the bus this morning. Moo's fault? Well not really, but let's blame her anyway. Instead of letting him play on the computer, we sat around the kitchen table and he told us all about school. It was great. I asked him if we could meet up the same time next week. Although he did miss his bus and I did have to drive him to school. It was worth it.

Moo, Smallest and I drove to the swimming baths. We got there early. We had to wait for about twenty minutes for the school to finish their lessons. I thought that Moo and Smallest would have the whole pool to themselves but it seemed that the senior club were also there. Not that they did much swimming, mainly chatting and floating. Smallest seemed to have lost his confidence at first and decided he couldn't swim anymore. One of the instructors threw Smallest a Noodle float and he swam with that until he gained his confidence back, then he started swimming again. He had a great time. I think they both did. After half an hour he wanted to get out.

All those seniors, one was floating on his back for ages, we were quite worried - but he was okay.

Kick kick kick

There wasn't a hair dryer so Moo dried her hair under the hand dryer. It does look like she was sitting on the toilet but she wasn't really!

We had to get Huffle's Father's Day present and we picked up a fan for the loft. In the car the temperature said 35* bit it slowly went down to about 28*.

34! It might have been because it was sitting in a car park in the h ot baking sun!
Smallest wanted to pick up this flower to see how heavy it was - it wasn't!

We popped into a supermarket. Smallest and I were walking around making duck noises and Moo was running away from us, as she was embarrassed! Then we had lunch at Tim Hortons. We came home and chilled in the garden. It was too hot to play. Moo did her crossword. I crocheted a flower brooch and Smallest made a Fathers Day Card. Smallest then helped Moo with her crossword. He also fell off his chair when I showed him the circling helicopter - it was my fault he fell off and my fault he got wet when his drink fell on him too.

Mr creative

The naughty helicopter that made him fall off his chair!

The sky was amazing today, half of the sky was strange clouds

And the other half.....

...............Clear as anything. Beautiful.

Moo and I built the fan (we found it really easy when we followed the instructions and found the dropped screw!!).

We potted up some Canna Lillies and a Dhalia that Mrs Royal gave us. Put some bamboo canes in Veg Bed 3 and planted Cabbage, sowed Broad Beans and Runner Beans. Smallest helped.

Later when Huffle came home. We moved one of our statues to the veg beds. (Fu Singh with children). At our old house, he sat in the vegetable garden looking after it. It's only right that he sits in our new veg garden.

The edge of the wild garden with our sun chairs in the background where we sat today under the shade of a big tree.

Small came home.

Basketball was played, sliding down the slide after pouring a bucket of water over himself and Smallest. Football and a bit of arguing and fighting.

Smallest can now get the ball in the hoop easily. Small can now get the ball in the hoop at its highest position.

The boys ate their dinner outside. Huffle came home earlyish and Huffle, Moo and I ate outside too. Small watched TV and Smallest entertained us. He told us jokes, fell over, ran up the slide in a comical way, made duck noises, dribbled the football. Very funny.

Then Huffle played baseball with him.

While the very English lady sat and watched. We watered the garden and dodged the Mosquitos and black flies. Small got bit on the back of his ear.

When the boys had gone to bed, Moo, Huffle and I sat on the front porch and ate Fathers Day Chocolate Pie. YUM YUM.

We sat thre for ages and then we started being bugged by the bugs and went in.
