Are you Taller?*

I had to get up too early again today (that's every day this week so far) and the boys were tired out from early mornings, too much work and late nights, so I decided to let them stay at home this morning while I went and worked with MrsRoyal. We had a good gardening session, weeding and moving a couple of plants and by the time it was coffee time, we called home and asked for two scones to be delivered. Smallest came along (bearing in mind it is two doors away) carrying two scones, one in each hand, no plate. MrsRoyal gave him some money for working last week. Wow, they are really earning their money this week. MrsRoyal had also made strawberry jam recently so we had that with our scones. Yum yum.

Some lovelies in MrsRoyal's garden today
Our coffee break with Huffle's scones and MrsR's jam.

It was lunchtime by the time I got back. Huffle and I sat on the porch and ate and the boys watched TV. I was supposed to have taken the kids for their hair cut at 1pm and didn't realise until 1:40pm so we left an apologetic phone message and then drove to the hairdressers. She was cutting someone else's hair so the boys all played together until she was ready. Small's hair was cut and gelled (he looks far too grown up now). Smallest's hair was a big mess and she told me that if it was up to her, she would use the clippers and cut it shorter than Small's. Ooooh I don't know if I can handle that! She cut it a bit shorter and gelled it up on top and a bit at the front. He loved it and he did look very cute and funky. He complained about his tummy feeling wobbly but couldn't really say how. He went pale and a bit clammy and we sat him down for a while. Then all of a sudden he was up and playing again.

After a long play and a good chat between me and the hairdresser, we went home. I started on dinner and the boys played on the trampoline. During dinner, Smallest felt ill and went for a sit in his room. He said he felt sick and didn't want to go to football so I patted his back and lay him on the floor and did all those silly exercises we used to do when he was a baby, trying to get his wind up. He had a burp and suddenly felt better. He went off to football and I asked Huffle to keep an eye on him. Apparently Huffle could tell he wasn't 100% but he was fine. He was hungry when he got home though. His team won 9-5.

I took Small to his football. It was a gorgeous evening with late sunshine. The ground was very squishy though and there was plenty of water beneath the players boots! His team lost 5-3 (though it wasn't a proper game). Small managed to kick one of his own team in the eye and hacked down a few of the opposition.

Huffle feels a little wobbly now too. Oh Dear!

MrsDonNoQuotey came over this evening to tell us about her next door's dog who apparently attacked a teenage girl in front of our house. She was hoping the dog would be reported but if not, she was going to do it. She was warning us in case it came anywhere near our kids. She also said the dog was let out by itself at night. We have told the kids to watch out but I personally haven't seen any bad behaviour with the dog in question myself. I would say that MrsDonNoQuotey does have a problem with the owner of the dog. Just saying!

*one of Small's teammates said he looked taller. Small told him he had his hair cut and it was now spiked up. The played said "No, you definitely look taller".
