What a Day!!!

Today started off with a lovely family breakfast.  A Skype from Grandma showing us the decorated Christmas tree and then a trip to the local flea market (not to buy fleas obviously).

It was -5 and we all had our thermals on plus extra layers.  Once inside we were boiling but outside we were toasty warm.

We bought a lovely rocking chair and a couple of cosy warm coats for Huffle and I, and some snow pants for Huffle.

The boys bought a couple of wooden animals for their new rooms.

We went back home and had a warm whilst Small played on the tennis court clearing and throwing the snow.

This afternoon we went off to Whitby to look for a mattress for our bed (whenever it arrives).  We eventually found one after trawling around five - six shops which all sold exactly the same thing but were all next to each other.  How strange!  We got a mattress and a duvet thrown in with free delivery (the day after we move in!).

On the way home (the time was getting late) we stopped off at an English Style Fish and Chip Shop.  We had no idea whether it would be any good or not.  It appeared to be a truck stop but was really good.  Proper Chips not tiny fries with no potato in them, and lovely haddock, very fresh tasting.  NICE!

The boys have been an absolute nightmare today.  Fighting with each other, answering back, hitting, arguing.  AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!

School tomorrow for both of them.

Oh and we had to have another mega combing session on Small.  Go away little bugs, you're not welcome here.  I guess I have to go into school again tomorrow and let them know.  AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH.

Well I should point out but I'm sure you know that you have to wash smallest's hat and scarf and hood of jacket and even gloves. Those little bugs travel here and there:) Winter is the worst time for the little travellers as kids hang up their coats together and the little bugs like to mingle. If smallest is the ony one who has them in your family then you may not have brought them with you:)

Not long now til your house is ready, hope you don't have to take the unwanted guests with you! Meant to say in the last post that I've never heard of cod's tongue before!! Very brave of Huffle to try!! Fish and chips are actually quite easy to get in Canada, although some are better than others of course. Georgian Bay Whitefish and chips is my favourite, freshly caught, not frozen, in Tobermory, Ontario. Put that place on your list for the summer months!
