Fetch me that Saw!

What started off as a lazy day, quickly turned into a busy day. After a pancake breakfast (where we made faces again!)..........

Mine

Huffle's (he said it was Rusty Lee)

Small's

.......................Huffle went off to buy a piece of furniture he saw on Kijiji yesterday. Then there was a knock at the door (I was still in my PJ's). It was 'Prince' with an outside table and chairs. He was due to have a Garage Sale and asked if we wanted to buy it before he put it up for sale. We did - it was a bargain! Now we have somewhere to eat outside. I helped him get it out of his truck and then popped round to the Royal's to pay for it.

While I was there I had a cup of tea and a chat. I left Moo mending things.

Prince was making Smallest laugh

Huffle came home with a pine corner unit he had bought so I helped him bring it in. Him and Moo had already moved a piece of furniture up from the basement to the lounge. First of all we couldn't get the corner unit through the door. Then we got it through and then got it stuck at the basement stairs. We manoeuvred it half way down and then got stuck again. "Moo, can you help us, we're stuck!". We pulled, and turned, and slid but still it wouldn't go down the stairs. "Fetch me that saw" said Huffle.

Huffle is holding the unit at the bottom of the stairs. Moo is holding it at the top and I am sawing the corner bit off so it will go past the shelf.

We got it downstairs and then left Huffle and the boys to it. Moo and I took the Sat Nav and headed off for Ikea. We took a few wrong turns (only because we didn't understand the instructions - i.e. keep left means go straight and don't join the expressway. Keep right means go straight and do not exit.

We got to Ikea, had a coffee and then looked around the shop. We were a bit disappointed. I don't know if it wasn't set out as nicely as it is in the UK or that it was messy because there had a been a sale, but it just wasn't very inspiring. We picked up a few things, paid and went outside. The rain was hammering down. There was thunder and lightning and the lights flickered.

We drove home with the rain constantly following us. It was bright ahead but as dark as anything behind. Every time we stopped at a traffic light, the rain caught up with us. We stopped at a supermarket on the way and bought the boys some swimming shorts. The trunks we brought with us are very short here and their friends laugh and say they look like movie stars! They start their swimming lessons tomorrow.

When we got home, the boys were busy playing........

Treasure Hunt

Ghostly galleon

Pig goes pop..............to name a few

I had bought some new quilts (cool ones) for everyone so we put the covers on them and put them on the bed. I put Small's posters in the frames I bought and then we moved things around in the various bits of furniture we now had. The boys and Huffle had set up the corner unit with the TV on. We also moved some other bits around and some pictures.

We started dinner and Moo went and picked our peas. What a bounty!

Moo and the boys went for a scoot/ bike around and then she put them to bed. It is really humid outside. Inside the air con is on. We have more rain and storms coming.

Lol, tell Huffle to take a tape measure with him next time he goes to by something! Men!!! You're getting a lot more rain and storms than we are, we're desperate for some rain! Back in the 100's again today, so sick of this, lol!!!

Meant to say earlier that I love your peas too, we've never had that many in one go so I usually just end up eating them before they even make it into the house!

Huffle says it fit!! Phew so hot. How do you cope?

Peas were lovely. We have never had this many either. Great to eat them from the pod but nice to get them to the table too!
