I saw it in the bath!

Last night, just before midnight, which makes it technically still October, it snowed. Bloody snowed. Just a sprinkling but still! Really? Then at 5am the smoke alarm went off in the loft (just a beep beeping which meant the battery needing changing), Huffle checked to see if it had snowed more and it had! Okay so it's now November but Really? Then at 7:30am Smallest came in to tell Huffle that his glowstick that we had used for trick or treating had split and spilt all over his floor, rug, bed clothes and himself. Huffle got up and sorted it, using a tissue to to wipe the floor and consequently smearing glowy stuff all over the floor. The bedding went in the wash (I can't see any green glow but maybe it will only show up in the dark!). The boys got up and Huffle went back to bed.

When we got up properly this morning there was a good covering of snow on the grass and it carried on for most of the morning. By the afternoon most of it had gone thank goodness.

Smallest made us Scrambled Egg for breakfast and then we Skyped Grandma. The boys played on the IPads while Huffle watched football and I made Lemon Curd.

After lunch, we went for a walk to the other end of the hamlet to the library to get a couple of books for the kids. The kids then played on the library computer while Huffle and I looked at some cookery books trying to get ideas for the Slow Cooker. We walked back home. It was cold and we all had our snow boots on (I had my Christmas presents on Grandma - very comfy and warm thank you) to test them. The snow had almost gone by then but the boys tried to make snowballs unsuccessfully.

At home we played Junior Monopoly and Smallest and I coloured in a picture for Huffle. During dinner we had a very strange conversation about body parts and what Smallest thought he had seen and what the correct term or name was for some of the parts. He had us laughing so much that Huffle bit his mouth twice and couldn't eat! After dinner we watched a bit of a film whilst eating Halloween stuff. I tell you now, this snow can just bugger off.

Brrr, it was bloomin cold here too. We went into the local town on Friday for Halloween to see all the decorations and stuff but the wind was blowing a gale and the rain had turned to sleety snow. We went and got dinner hoping we cut walk around afterwards but it was still very windy and the sleet had turned to ice that stung your face! We were frozen, so gave it up as a bad idea and came home!! It didn't stick for us thank goodness!

Hugs
