We had a morning of cleaning. All of us. Sweeping, dusting, mopping, toilet cleaning. What fun. The kids loved it (NOT) though they did a good job despite Smallest sweeping and Huffle sweeping his non-sweeping floor and then breaking the mop!
Huffle wanted to go snowboarding today but after we realised that the kids boots were too small now, we decided to go out for dinner and then find boots for them. It really is not worth spending too much on their snowboarding boots because their feet grow too damned quick and we have no idea whether we will be boarding a lot or a little. Part of it depends on the weather, though we have now got used to the fact that the slopes do make their own snow.
After dinner we went to a Value Village (a thrifty type shop but always have lots of ski type stuff). We found a good pair of snowboarding boots for Small which should last him this season at least and a little something for someone but we can't say! We nearly found a desk too but it wasn't quite right. Next we went to Play It Again Sports and traded in Smallest's snowboarding boots and ice skates from last Winter and got him another pair of hardly used snowboarding boots.
I checked if Moo could get her skis and bindings checked but it all depends if the make are on their 'list'. A job for Moo and I on Thursday.
We then drove to the lake and did a nice walk. It was very cold but the sun was out and bright. The kids were very silly as usual.
Even Huffle had his camera out today. He has decided that his 'thing' is close up photos.
Careful Huffle, let's not show up my wrinkles!!
