Paper Bag Puppets

I awoke this morning to rumbles. I think it was thunder. It was forecast with rain too but that never came. It was another warm, bright, sunny day. Another 16*.

Saw this picture on the Telegraph pictures. Really like it. The Moose thought the photographer was playing hide and seek.

We got ready and scooted to the library for the puppet show. It was mainly for small children and I think Small was a bit too old for it. Smallest wasn't sure, but they both joined in. I attempted to read a gardening magazine but got pulled out of the room to listen to a song about spiders!

The boys then made puppets out of paper bags. They were supposed to be dogs but both boys (who sat in opposite parts of the library) made them into different things. Small made a cyclops with lots of teeth and Smallest made a Gruffalo. Creative eh?

Smallest did some colouring and Small and I picked out some books.

We walked to the cafe and had lunch. In there we met a man from Newfoundland who started talking to us. He loved our accent and wanted us to keep talking. He commented on Smallests hair. His accent was half Irish and half Canadian. He said "my you've got a good head of hair there boy - you got pillow head".

We scooted back, dropped Smallest's fleece, bumped into Mr Royal and had a chat with him. Scooted home and realised we had lost the fleece. Dropped the books at home and started scooting back. Small found it and chatted to ClownRose. She said she wanted to come over later and play hide and seek with the boys.

Just some nice photos

Mr Royal talking to the boys.

We went shopping. The boys were warned to be on their best behaviour and they weren't too bad. The conveyor belt that moves the food along is operated by a button which I said the boys could take turns moving. I didn't realise till after I had loaded all the shopping that they had squashed the bread, eggs, and fruit. Arrrggghhhhhhh.

Whilst running around the garden they found the sit-on mower and asked if they could have a photo on it. "we won't touch any levers Mummy, promise!"

When we got home, the boys went off on their scooters again. Mrs Royal stopped and chatted on her way for her walk. She told me about the Garden Club in the Hamlet which I am going to join.

The boys spent hardly any time indoors today, which is great. No sign of the rain or the storms. Although they are forecast for tomorrow also.

We sat on the porch and played Monopoly Deal and Top Trumps and read some of the library books. The kids made pizza for their dinner and Smallest grated his thumb. I warned him grating cheese was too hard but he was convinced he could do it. I tried to help him but he needed to do it on his own. OUCH. they had their dinner on the porch again catching the end of the sunshine. ClownRose and BabyMo popped over. They played hide and seek for a bit and ClownRose invited us over Saturday evening for St. Patrick's Day. We are having a fire pit, nibbles and drink. Super.

Huffle came home and joined us. Smallest and Small went off on their scooters again. They will sleep well. Smallest fell off and scraped his hands. We called it a day and put them to bed.

Huffle and I had pizza in front of TV watching Storage Wars. very Funny. Yuuuuuuup!
