Waiting............

By 6am Huffle was out of the door for his day of golf.

By 7:30 the rest of us were up. Breakfast was made and wrapped in tin foil ready for our journey. Sandwiches were made and packed in the cool box. Cameras were found, DS' charged, headphones and MP3 players found (well some!).

The boys sat and watched The Grinch and Moo and I paced. By 9am I rang the store to find out why they hadn't rang me. They were waiting for the delivery people to call back. By 10am, I was fuming. I rang the store and got the number of the delivery people. I rang them and they said I was number five. (Oh not number 1 or 2 then like I was promised yesterday). My delivery would be between 8:15 and 12:15. I told her to get the driver to ring me NOW. She said she would. Moo and I paced around the garden some more. The kids carried on watching the film. We all ate our foil wrapped breakfast.

By 10:15 I went round to Mrs Royal and asked for help. Mr Royal decided he would sit in our house and wait for the delivery and we could go out. We left him the delivery people's number and our key and off we went.

We drove for almost two hours. The boys were good. They played on their DS' and listened to the MP3 player. It was very very hot again. 31*.

We only had a minor detour. We found a carpark and followed some stumbling steps downwards towards the American Falls.

This time, the American Falls were spectacular (last time I was disappointed because I thought they were the proper falls). The colours were amazing.

We walked along the falls a bit and then found a nice shady spot where no one else was sitting and we had our picnic. It was lovely. We could see the falls and hear them but we were nice and cool. Of course, some people saw our lovely spot and joined us, both sides, very close, like they always do when we decide to picnic away from others!!

We watched the Maid of the Mist and saw a rainbow. Moo was disappointed that the boat didn't go further in to the falls. She thought it went behind! No Moo, you would not survive that! We decided we wouldn't go on it today.

That funny English Lady again showing she was at the Falls. All her friends always ask, Did you go to the Falls? well yes, she did. Hurrah!

This is my favourite part of the falls. It's quite scary.

Imagine falling over that? Eeeuuuugghhh.

We had an ice cream/lolly. Moo went to pay and the girl said "oh I need to weigh the ice creams". "Pardon?" said Moo. Apparently, the cost of a scoop is by the 7ounce so she needed to weigh the ice creams to know how much they were but Small had already eaten half of his. Very strange!

The mist coming off the falls was immense, it was like a proper rain shower. We got really soaked, but it was lovely and cooling.

There's that English Lady again.

"what can you see through here?"

"ooooh look at the boat, we've been on there, you get very wet!"

Cheeky Boys

We walked back along to the America Falls and found another shady spot when we stopped for Threeses!

They are wrestling not cuddling!

We found these amazing gardens. This one was edged with parsley! Brilliant!

There were ponds with fish and beautiful lily pads! The boys asked if they could step on them!

There were lots of fish which they tried to feed with grass, leaves and twigs, funnily enough the fish weren't really interested!

The boys sat for ages watching the fish.

Then we walked to the top of the lookout tower to see the falls from up high. Whilst there we spotted the bigferris wheel and wondered how far away it was and how much it would be to get on it!

At the top.

There is the wheel, now how do we get to it!

We walked towards where we thought it might be, through the gardens and came upon a whole street of entertainment. 4D movies, wax works, amusements, fun house etc etc.

It was very "Blackpool" Of course, the kids loved it! Small wants to go here for his birthday.

We walked up the hill and found the ferris wheel. It was like a smaller version of the London eye. It was reasonably priced and no queue so we decided to go on it. Then I remembered I didn't like these type of things as we were stuck at the top swaying slightly. The view was amazing though.

And after the second time of going round, I was okay. It was a shame the windows on the pod were all scratched as it ruined the photos a little. The boys loved it.

By the eighth time of going round, we were a bit bored and hot but it was certainly worth the money.

When it finally stopped, we walked back down the hill. The boys would have gone in every place if we'd let them. We went back down to the garden bit and decided to sit in the shade again. It was gone 5pm and no one wanted any dinner. We knew it would be bedtime by the time we got back so we snacked on the end of our picnic. Then smallest jumped up and said "I need a poo!". Moo looked at me, I looked at her! We were in the middle of nowhere, with no facilities anywhere. Small said he needed a wee so we sent him in the bushes, but Smallest!! Well. I took him tothe Police Station and waited for ages till someone decided to let us in and let us use the toilet! He kept saying "I think the Police will tell us off!". Only if you poo in their garden!

We found the car, switched the air con on and waited for my phone to recharge as we had no idea which way to go to get home. Moo did a sterling job getting us back, apart from one problem where she lost the Map at a crucial point in our journey, still we got home, put the kids to bed, emptied the picnic box and played with the new washer.

Oh yes, the washer. It arrived not long after we left. There was no phone call to say it was on its way. It just arrived. They scratched some paintwork and fitted it but wouldn't test it as "it isn't their job!". As they were taking the old one out of the house, a scrap merchant 'happened' to be passing and took it off their hands. Mr Royal thinks this is something that happens on a regular basis. They charge the customer to take it away and then the scrap man follows the van and takes it away from them. Easy money! We have since had a message from the store who I will name Home Depot saying that our washer will be delivered tomorrow! Good, well I hope it is. I shall keep it and sell it! I shall also be writing a letter of complaint to Home Depot. What a palaver!!!!!

Huffle had a lovely day out at a posh golf club. He played with two mature gentlemen (one called Herb!), there were hundreds of golf carts. He didn't win anything but I think he blames his team rather than his own abilities!

Viagra update - twelve emails today. Some telling me to go to Walmart! And one for Valium! Lovely!
