Comedy Veg

An early morning for everyone (well Small slept in and was last up which is very unusual). Huffle worked from home again in order to allow Moo and I to go to The Royal York without worrying about the kids. Yesterday I set up some play dates for Smallest to go to his friend K's house until midday and for Small to go his friend Log's for part of the day.

Moo and I left before 9am and arrived at the Garden centre just as MrsM was filling the car with plants to take. We had a good journey to Toronto and arrived about 10am. Jan was waiting for us and as soon as the chef appeared we went up the lift and then walked up the four flights to the roof. The day was perfect for rooftop gardening, not too hot and still breezy.

We all set about weeding the beds and then we put in some tomatoes, some ground cherries and a few nasturtiums. There were many many weeds on the ground which made it look really untidy so we cleared as much as we could.

After 2.5 hours we packed up and left, however we were locked in the engine room between the rooftop and the stairs. Luckily MrsM had her phone with the chefs number on and we rang and asked for assistance. Eventually he let us out and we went to the Library Room (very posh) for dinner. They always look after us really well here and explained that we could have anything we wanted and it was all taken care of. Super. We even had a glass of wine which was superb. Moo and I had Stinger Fish and Chips (the batter was made from the beer the bees make). We had a lovely espresso/coffee afterwards with a small macaroon as an accompaniment.

We finally left and waited for our car to be delivered from the valet parking. It was really busy with cars coming and going and lots just standing still.

We had a fairly good journey back but the traffic was quite bad with one road completely blocked.

Back home, the boys had come home from their friends, watched a movie and played on the IPads. They had been really good (until we came home anyway).

Moo, the boys and I go on our bikes and biked to the Hamlets park and then biked around and about and back home.

The boys and Huffle had their dinner and then we all played football. Our teams swapped around each time someone scored. It was a rigorous game with a few injuries and many goals.
