Harry Potter and Jake from Pirates of the Caribbean

Huffle slept through the alarm this morning ( but that's good because it meant he slept really really well) and then went off to work.

Moo, the boys and I went off to Port Perry for the day. Port Perry is about 25 minutes drive away and is on Lake Scugog (a particular favourite of mine for photograph taking, well to be honest, where isn't?). We started on the park but the boys were devastated that they had taken away their favourite park apparatus - the spinner thing that makes me sick but Aunty A had much fun in it when she was here, without getting her bottom stuck! After a quick go on the monkey bars (Smallest's new favourite)..........

.......... we walked around the parkland and made our way to the new ice cream place that makes the ice creams in front of you. A bit pricier than normal bit ooh sooo lovely. They have the base which they make themselves and then add the ingredients and add a touch of liquid Nitrogen to make it freeze quickly. Because it freezes so fast there are no frozen crystals in it making it very very creamy, if not a bit too unfreezey and melty!

Small had Canadian Maple but without the Walnuts and Smallest had OMG strawberry! which when it tasted it I actually said OH MY GOD! It was THAT good. Moo and I had coffee and shared a blueberry pastry. We sat in the dappled shade of a huge maple tree and played a bit of football.

In Port Perry there is an open air swimming pool and as they boys had their swimming shorts we checked it out. They swam and jumped in from 12 (when they were practically the only ones there) until 1:20 (when it was a bit busier). Moo and I sat and watched them. We are allowed to leave them for two hours but I don't like to do that. The clouds were very dark at times but when the sun came out it was really hot.

We had a little incident (in a way only a little Hall could have!) which made Smallest a bit upset but it was sorted without too much bother!

Moo and the boys found a picnic spot by the lake and played football and heading while I went and brought back some lunch for us all.

Apart from the squawking seagulls and Small growling at the squawking seagulls, it was very peaceful. We played more football and then walked along to the park again. Both boys said there was nothing to play on there now and yet they played for ages together on lots of the equipment.

Smallest is NOT being struck by lightning, it is JUST the clouds.

On the drive back we stopped in at Small's fried Mac, to see if he wanted to play but he couldn't so we came home. Smallest fell asleep on the sofa while Moo, Small and I vacuumed the pool, put he chemicals in and tidied up. All ready for tomorrow and the weekend now.

Moo and I made dinner (Spaghetti Bolognese and Veggie Bolognese) - we had to wake up Smallest who didn't eat much - hope he isn't coming down with something.

Just as we were about to serve dinner, I saw this cheeky raccoon waltzing down our garden. For some reason I thought it was a pig. I scared it off (by taking a photo) and it went next door under the trees. I ran there to check on their chickens but no-one was home and the chickens looked okay.

Huffle and I did some weeding and mulching of the front garden which is looking lovely.
