I have marbles but I don't want you to cook them!

Huffle went to work leaving Moo, me and the kids behind. So off we went to the Waterfront (half an hours drive) for a nice relaxing walk (Smallest rode his bike ahead and stopped at various benches for us. A group of older women did ask us if he was with us as they were concerned he was on his own). Small walked kind of with us but with his football and on the way back we kicked the ball with him.

The Splash Pad was next on our agenda which is what the boys wanted to come for. Moo and I set up camp with chairs, books, knitting and cool box ready for lunch and the boys put on their swimming tops and went onto the Splash Pad. There was a Day Care group there so it was quite busy for a while. The boys hogged the water cannons as usual and squirted everyone in sight until we made them come off and play elsewhere.

They stopped for lunch and a read of their books. Moo and I had plenty of people watching opportunities today. There was a girls party where they played Pass The Parcel (a rare one for this country), bubbles, water balloons, piñata, present opening and cake candle blowing out. There was a woman who let her little girl wee against a tree (not acceptable in our view, not when there are toilets nearby), the Day Care provided us with lots of entertainment too.

The weather was beautifully glorious and Moo and I only ventured out from under our tree for a brief moment to warm ourselves. The boys had a fabulous time and when Small came in to read, Smallest and Moo practised heading the football. Later when Smallest did his daily writing, he wrote : Moo and I have been practising head butting!

We packed up our belongings after about five hours being there and while we packed up the car, the kids went on the park. A couple of older people near us looked at the black clouds edging our way and said "ooh we better go it's looking bad". I said, under my breath, Muppets it's not going to rain! However on the way home it bucketed it down and was still raining once home.

Moo and I made Quiches for dinner and we had freshly picked vegetables from the garden. We had mini courgettes, mini carrots, lots of green and white French beans and lettuce. Yum yum, oooooh I love it when we eat the stuff we have grown. This is going to be a good year for home grown veggies.

Huffle came home and we all ate. Moo made us Jam Tart and Custard for pudding which was lovely. Huffle thought it was very much like a Jam Roly Poly. Our tablecloth has lots of British Meals written on it. We were checking if we had had all the meals on there and Smallest said "what is a plorhooimans?" Ploughmans!
