Goodness Gracious Me!

Huffle went off early this morning to play his weekly game of golf by himself. He won of course. He didn't see his normal plethora of wildlife. He said it was so early, the sun wasn't even up above the trees. He likes this time because it so very peaceful, no-one bothering him at all (apart from those pesky mosquitoes).

Moo, the boys and I had breakfast and then went off to knitting. Today was the last day for MsDammit as she is moving over to BC next week. She is a lovely lady and I am glad I met her. I hope to see her again when I go over and look at her garden for her (it is a five hour flight or a five day drive - not too soon then!).

We didn't get a lot of knitting done, but lots of chatting and a bit of cake eating, courtesy of RudeTrude. We said our goodbyes and hugged and left to get some bread before going home and having lunch with Huffle.

Pool and poolside was the afternoons activity.

And I picked some veg

The boys went in and swam and jumped and played silly billies while Moo and I finished our breakfast scrabble. Small's friend came to play and the three boys played in the pool and on the trampoline for just over an hour. We all had a read and a play of scabs and scrapes (did you know you produce 2 pints of snot in a day - Moo and I don't, that's what we decided!).

Huffle and I went out tonight on our own. Moo sat for us (thank you Moo) and we drove over to Unionville and had a walk down the Main Street and then a lovely meal at the Indian restaurant there. Huffle has been before a few times with work but we have never been together. It was lovely. It was very relaxed and we sat outside and watched the people ambling by. There was a group of eight who sat at their table, had their water poured, started to drink their mango smoothie and then got up and left.

Bottom photo - a big beer. My Brie pakoras and lovely garlic naan.

After we finished eating we walked down to the shiny ball park and then Huffle got an ice cream (which was disappointing) and we walked around the Toogood Pond. The sun was setting, the sky was pink and the moon was huge and full.

There were hundreds of Canada Geese, a couple of ugly duck things and many many people. Some people had brought their own chairs and positioned themselves next to the pond, next to an already situated bench. Bit strange!

We had a lovely walk and then drove home to Moo and two sleeping boys.
