The one handed gardener

The boys went off to school thanks to Grandad reminding everyone of the time (he says he didn't want to get into trouble for them missing the bus). After breakfast Grandad fixed the front door screen as MrsPiano has big trouble opening it at times. He also stopped the front door from squeaking. All sorted now and before he was out of his PJ's! We left Huffle at home working and went and visited CostCo where Grandma and I wandered around getting meat and bread and Grandad dribbled at the huge TV screens, he wants a new one now but not anything smaller than a 48". We lost him briefly and then we went to Canadian Tire where we bought something to make the hose more usable and some tennis balls for Smallest.

We had a brief visit to Home Depot where we learnt two more different words for Perspex. Plexi-glass and Acrylic. Then when we looked for drain pipes, I had to use the word guttering, drainpipe and down spout before I was understood. The lady asked if it was difficult trying to translate from English to Canadian English. YES IT IS VERY DIFFICULT.

We came home for lunch and then Huffle went back to work and Grandad then mended the back gate temporarily, tidied the barn, sorted all the half pair of gloves!?!? took down the old Satelitte Dish and moved all the old temporary worktop wood from the Sun Room into his Grandad Cave - And No, MiniMo he did not paint the fence yesterday or today. Grandma has been busy in the kitchen cleaning, emptying and filling the dishwasher.

I went for a walk with MrsRoyal and while I was gone I missed Smallest's Dentist Appointment - whoops. I phoned them later and they said I was very sweet to call. Huffle made an alternative appointment for him.

The boys came home and played Top Trumps with Grandma and Grandad, did a chore and played on their tablets until dinner. Today we made pizza, dipping bread and sweet potato fries. I bought some infused oils today and with dinner we tried basil oil. Very nice. For dessert we made "make your own mess" which was a meringue nest with fresh cream and a selection of fruits. Very very nice.

After dinner we played Egg Newmarket with the playing cards and mini eggs. It was quite funny.
