Yours is a bit gay Dad!

Man bag or Fanny Bag?

I had to get up extra early this morning so that I could get Small off to school for the Intermediate Science Olympics. The kids helped me with their breakfasts and I made Smallest's lunch and Small's snack and drink and then left Smallest getting himself ready (everyone else was still in bed) while I drove Small to school. Two others and him were being driven by their Maths teacher (who didn't stay with them). They really enjoyed their day but they didn't come away with a medal this time. Oh well, he can't have a medal for everything. There were 52 teams and he thinks they came quite high but there were only medals for the top three.

There was an incident this morning involving a window, a nosey person and later the washing machine. Not naming names but it wasn't anyone who lives in this house normally or Grandma. Tut tut.

Huffle worked on the kitchen table, in the computer room and in the basement (wherever he could find peace I think). Grandad and I went shopping (he was my trolley pusher). We visited the Post Office first and sent off some parcels and then I dropped Grandad off at the bank while I parked the car. We did well shopping, he's not bad for a little helper. There was a green bean incident which involved dropping, kicking and walking away. (Can't really blame that one on Grandad though this time). We packed the car and drove home in the dense fog, came home and unpacked the car and put everything away.

By then it was lunch time and we started a film called Bridge of Spies. Good so far. This afternoon we left Grandma cooking Cottage Pies and Grandad and I went into the garden. We emptied the Small compost bin and added the good parts to the veggie beds and put the other stuff back in. We cleared all the leaves from the veggie garden paths and took about four wheelbarrow loads down to Compost Corner. Grandad is very happy with his compost corner project. It is standing strong and still looking good. He moved all the compost from Bed2 to Bed3 ready for us to move Bed1 to the now empty Bed2 - it's very complicated sounding but it is working a treat. Then we cut down all the grasses etc from around the barn and put that in compost corner too.

Not saying that he has OCD!!!

Grandad insisted we took the empty beer and wine bottles back to the beer store and while we were there we bought some cider for Grandma and some craft beer for me and him. We had collected 18 wine bottles and 22 beer bottles. I don't think we have taken them back since they were here last time so it's not as bad as it sounds!!!! We also picked up some very heavy salt softener bags. We asked there with our bottles, realised we had no money, I walked back for the car and money and we drove back happily.

Wow - that was all ours!

The boys came home, homework and piano lessons done and then we all ate dinner. We had a game of Go Fish before the boys went off to Scouts and Cubs where they planned a story which they will film at a later date. Smallest wasn't happy he was with two dufi's. While they were gone the rest of us had a game of Ace to Ace and we had a visit from Ronnie and Reggie the raccoons who cheekily sauntered into the Sun Room.

Did they poo in Grandma's shoe?
