"It's a me, Mario!"

We had breakfast, the table was set beautifully by Small. Don't get me wrong, he didn't do it out of love for his family, but because we pushed him (a lot). Small is very lazy and will quite happily let everyone wait on him hand and foot. So Kevin the Teenager (as we have nick named him) huffed and puffed around the kitchen collecting glasses and bowls, getting out cutlery, juices, jams, breads and cereals. He was a delight!

Breakfast over, Small and Moo played table tennis. Smallest and Huffle played Tower Madness. I started to make a Christmas Stocking for Huffle. Moo went and made her stocking while Huffle and I played Table Tennis. He is coaching me.

Everyone had showers after a day yesterday of sitting in our PJ's and House Pants all day. All the stockings were hung. We got ourselves ready and went out for a nice dinner. Huffle's boss told him to take the family out for a nice meal. We were slightly disappointed when we got there because on Sundays they only have a selected Brunch Menu but it actually worked out really well because Moo, Huffle and I had something we wouldn't normally have had, the kids were fed really well (though they chose fish and Chips) and we got to have pudding (which we don't normally bother with).

Moo and I had Vegetable Eggs Benedict in a puff pastry (gorgeous). Huffle had chicken on ciabatta with salad and a Curried Pumpkin Soup. We all had dessert. The boys and I chose a Chocolate Bomb (with the understanding that we would take a lot of it home as it was HUGE).

Huffle chose Eggnog Cheesecake with a Gingersnap Base and Moo chose the famous Carrot and Pineapple Carrot Cake.

We also had hot chocolates, coffees, beer, wine and apple juices. Lovely lovely meal and we didn't go mad and spend far too much just because the Boss was paying (unlike others I'm sure).

Next we walked to the Bowling place and played a game and a half of Five Pin Bowling. The man in there looked like Mario fom Mario Bros.

I won the first game (just). It was very close scoring.

There were lots of spares............

.........a couple of strikes.........

Lots of funny faces and gestures. We paid for an hour so we got to have nearly half another game.

We handed in our bowling shoes and sat waiting for our own shoes. We sat there for ages and Mario kept repeating himself. Of course we sat there being polite until I looked at Huffle and said WE ARE WAITING FOR OUR SHOES AREN'T WE. yes says Huffle. WE LEFT OUR SHOES AT THE DOOR! Whoops. We shuffled off and put our shoes on and hoped Mario wouldn't think we were too stupid!

Outside it wasn't yet dark (we wanted to take the kids to the Fantasy Light Show in the park) so we carried on to shopping. On the way Small got me with a snowball, we had a mini snowball fight and got in the car.

We only needed a few things for Christmas Day. We had much trouble finding Christmas Crackers. We also kept losing each other. The boys were sent one way to look for Yorkshire Pudding (I know I should make them myself but I don't need the added pressure Christmas Day with the new cooker not doing what I expect!). Moo was sent to look for cheese, Huffle was Huffling all over the place looking for the boys and generally getting annoyed at everything (he hates shopping). We all found each other. Moo and I packed and paid while Huffle went off for some secret shopping. The boys sat patiently at the front of the shop. Then we realised we didn't have the keys for the car so Moo went back in to look for Huffle. The boys and I waited for one of them to come back and the boys picked off pieces of glue from the boxes of coke and called them worms. (Well, they were quiet, they were happy and they weren't annoying anyone!).

Huffle came back first, Moo was missing. Huffle and Smallest went back to the car while Small and I looked for Moo. We found her but she was waiting for one of the staff to tell her if there were any crackers In the back (I had already asked that question and there weren't, however we had to wait for the staff member else we would have been rude). We dragged Moo out and back to the car and told Huffle we needed to go to one more shop. We left him in the car with the boys and picked up some crackers and chocolate coins.

When we got back to the car, he was pulling his hair out! We drove to the Fantasy of Lights. Oh no, no lights. Moo, Small and I walked about in the park in the deep snow trying to work out where the lights were. Moo found them but they were switched off. The longer we were there, the more cars turned up. No idea what was wrong but there were a lot of disappointed people.

We drove home, unpacked and put away the shopping. Moo and I reorganised the tins into another cupboard. Moo did her emails and the laundry. The boys ate their tea in front of the TV.

P.S. Moo would like her friends to see how deep the snow is.

I can tell you in some places, it is a lot deeper than this looks.

P.P.S.

I would like to show Moo's friends what she looks like in her House Pants (she thinks this lot goes well together!!). Hope we don't get any visitors!

Tell Huffle to stop puffing and be calm. The puds look delic, and so does Moo in the house pants! We're any of the stockings home knotted, or a 2013 project? One day to go, we cleaned yesterday, public rooms look quite nice!! x
