We say Lounge Pants, you say House Pants

Huffle went off to the hospital this morning to get his monitor fitted. He has to wear it for 48 hours and take it off Saturday morning. It records what is going on and he has to write down notes of how he is feeling. He is obviously feeling better as he has booked our trip away (just him and me) to New York after Christmas for four days. Wahoo.

The boys went off to school. It was -5 but turned into about 6*.

Moo and I had breakfast and then got ready and drove to the forest where we met NoCustard and Mrs Royal. The sun was shining.

Sticking with it! NoCustard and Moo
This tree was called Five Finger Freddy

This was called Potato Flake Jake because of its chip on its shoulder!

We decided on a different route today. We took a route that was very up and down. It was gorgeous. It took about forty five minutes. Then we did another route which took us a different way. Again very hilly, but beautiful. Lots of photo opportunities for me.

NoCustard, Mrs Royal and Moo - I am trailing behind as usual photographing beautiful things.

This route took another forty five minutes. We felt exhilarated at the end of it. We came home and skyped Badminton Babe and Bridgenut and had lunch watching Bomb Girls (about a bomb factory in Canada in the 2nd World War).

Then we got all our Christmas stuff out to see what else we needed to get. We bagged it all up and hid it.

I had a shower and left Moo doing a crossword. We played a couple of games of Table Tennis and had a bit of a practice. Then we got ready to go out. We walked to school, picked the boys up, walked to the library, got some new books and walked back. My foot was absolutely killing me today. Too much walking?

Two birds were perched on the wire for ages until I took a photo and they fly away
The boys didn't appreciate the walk from school to the library, and library to home.
However, the sky was amazing.
On the way past the Royals house, we took a photo of their lit up tree and noticed they were beckoning us to come in. We sat and had a cup of tea with them and wrapped up their Grandsons Christmas present. It was scooter handlebars and they used toilet rolls to disguise it. It was a tricky operation but Moo and I managed it.

Lovely Chrsitmas tree with a pair of sillies waving at the window

Mrs R with the gift we wrapped

We sat and chatted about ears, nose hair, toilet rolls etc and then left them to some peace when Sporty Spice and their grandson arrived. The boys ran home and got him some of our gingerbread because he likes it so much.

We got the dinner on. The boys emptied their school bags and played with their new cards.

Small's ski club has been cancelled due to the teachers strike. They are on a work to rule and not doing any outside activities. Typical. Knew it would affect us! Poor Small, he was looking forward to that.

Huffle came home, we all had dinner. Aunt Pear and HB skyped and had a quick chat with Huffle.

The boys soaked their feet and watched TV while I blogged. moo and Huffle cleared the kitchen and played table tennis (in fact I can hear them right now, talking tactics).

Moo put the boys to bed, I cycled and Huffle, Moo and I played Table Tennis.

Moo and I in our Lounge Pants (or House Pants as Mrs R calls them!)
