First Snow

I slept wonderfully but had bizarre dreams about being on holiday and coming home (UK home) and finding people in Moo's home looking after her though I had no idea why. I knew the people but couldn't say they were good friends, more acquaintances. Very strange. The house was a mess as well. Huffle slept better but not as well as me. The boys slept very well and didn't get up until 7:30am which for them is late!

We had a frost overnight and the grass was white. The boys thought it had snowed but it hadn't. Huffle went to work and the boys went to school, both in long trousers and fleeces. Smallest's teacher told him he had to come in winter coat and hat and gloves tomorrow.

I got ready for my exercise class and it snowed. Not heavily but flakes which didn't really land or settle. I got on my bike and then came back in for gloves. I had to hold my ears while I cycled which is not really very safe (hat next time then!).

As I got on my bike I noticed the gorgeous oranges of the chimney and tree and then the moon.

Today was Power Yoga (oh goody my favourite NOT). There weren't many people as there was a big Pitsburg Hockey Tournament. (Small said a lot of the kids were there too). Sport comes before school here. Not sure I agree but hey, mine aren't doing hockey! I managed to get through it without hurting myself too much and cycled home and drove to the forest to walk with NoCustard. There was doubt earlier whether we would walk or not because we had snow and she had rain. Then the sun came out in both places. However, by the time we arrived at the forest it was rainy and cold so we decided to leave it.

The forest through a rainy window

The sky on my way home - can you see the spooky face?

I came home and tidied and had lunch whilst knitting. Then I went and did a small shop and picked up the deflector shield for the mower as it had arrived. I came home, put the shopping away and made some more Chocolate Crackle Cookies. This time I used a different recipe and adapted it. The boys got home just as they were coming out the oven - lucky them. They say these are much better and it did fill up the biscuit jar this time.

Small started on his homework and Smallest read two chapters of his reading book to me. Then smallest and I made pizza for dinner and once we cleared everything up the boys did their maths and played on the computer,

Huffle came home and we ate our pizza in front of the end of Spider-man2. I text grandad to tell him we had snow and he said he had packed his swimming trunks and in London it was sunny. Whoops! They think that I I am picking them up from the airport but Huffle is having a work at home day. We have school assembly in the morning and they get here 11:30 so he can scoot off after. They should be home by the time the boys get home which will be nice.

Ooh so they're arriving today! They turned that around quickly! Hope it doesn't snow any more and warms up a bit but I think that's wishful thinking! I've now got a picture in my head of grandad running around Toronto in a pair of speedos! Let's hope he's not wearing them when he tries to go through immigration, otherwise they'll send him back!

Hugs
