Chloe Joey Snowy Wot you sayin'?*

-17* with a windchill making it feel like -27*. The boys were well covered up this morning though they were sure they would not be let out for recess today. I think they were actually allowed one full recess and a half one. Not bad considering.

Huffle worked from his bunker and I went out mid morning for a walk in the forest with NoCustard. Today was very cold but it was so sunny it was absolutely beautiful. Perfect conditions for fabulous photo taking. Bright white snow, beautiful sunshine witch made the snow look like it was encrusted with sparkly diamonds and just enough of a wind to be blowing the snow off the branches in a fairy tale snowy way.

We chose a smaller route because the paths were not trodden down much so it made it really tough to walk. It felt lovely though and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. We walked for about an hour.

When I came home, Huffle and I had lunch together before he was pulled back to work by that damn ringing phone of his.

We went out and did a bit more clearing and now the drive is clear AGAIN! This morning I entered our address into the Snow Sculpture competition (thinking that they would come by tomorrow to judge) and we saw a car pull up, wind down the window and take photos of the snowmen/women. I sent an email and told them the kids wanted to work on it tonight in case it was them. They said it was looking great and we were to let them know when it was finished so they could come by again.

When the kids came home from school, I took them to have their hair cut. They played with the hairdressers kids for a while On their ice rink in the garden and then we came home and worked on the snowmen until dinner time.

Groundhog Day was a few days ago and the groundhog who lives closest to us, 'Wiarton Willie' forecast an early Spring. Apparently he has the best record for forecasts out of all of them. I saw a photo of Punxatawney Phil (famous for Bill Murrays Groundhog Day) who bit his handler. ha! Serves him right. He looks like he's smiling but I bet he's really saying "get this scabby thing off me!".

*a quote from Joey Essex who is a contestant on The Jump (ITV). We are loving this nightly show, it is very entertaining. Someone needs to tell Lady Victoria Hervey "you 'ain't no lady!"
