I don't know what a poke is*

Small, most mornings at the weekend, asks "Can we have pancakes?". Huffle and I lay in bed this morning and decided we were going to make pancakes so when Small asked his normal question, instead of saying NO! We both said yes. He was very surprised. So after a pancake breakfast (that's three times I mentioned it - that's it now), we all went out on to the front garden and made some snowmen for our entry into the Snow Sculpture competition at the Winter Festival next weekend.

We stayed out for about 2 1/2 hours and we made 11 snowmen/women and a snow dog. We will be adding to these as the week goes on, snow permitting. We are expecting much snow over the next week.

Some of our creations

We had messages from Aunty A telling us about her upcoming trip to stay with us HURRAH.

Huffle Skyped Grandma and Grandad and got to speak to CousinE (and see her lovely holey jeans) and CousinD.

We had Small's friend over to play for three hours (while his sister was at her dance class) and the three boys played nicely together at table tennis, table football, Mario kart and they all went outside to snowball each other.

The boys came in after an hour of playing in the snow (Poor Smallest's wrists were so cold and red, Huffle had to warm them for him!), they all had a hot Chocolate and then we spent the next hour playing hide and seek until his Bogie's Mum and sister came and picked him up.

After dinner, Huffle had a soak in the bath and the kids and I watched a bit of TV wrapped in blankets. It's getting colder. There is currently (8pm) a winter storm warning (called Linus!!) on its way. 70kmph winds, which could cause blizzards, 20-25cm snow and zero visibility at times. Huffle has taken the day off tomorrow and we are supposed to go snowboarding. He said if we don't, then we will go to Ikea - WHAT? That's not a good alternative. I want fine dining and adventure at least!

Good luck to my friend Jill (Jack n Jill) for tomorrow's op.

* today I was nominated on Facebook to tell seven facts about myself that people may not know. One of them was about Rome. Smallest asked what the Vatican was and Huffle told him it was where the Pope lived. "I don't know what a Poke is" he said.
