I am not a hairy cereal

All the boys watched the first half of the Stoke game before we all headed out to Smallest's football game via the bank to find out why my debit card keeps taking from Small's new bank account. (Something to do with me being the primary account holder on the kids accounts and then being connected to my card. Anyway it got sorted).

Today's game was the second one this season and they won again and kept a clean sheet. Smallest nearly assisted in a great goal. He worked very hard and was our man of the match (he chose himself too though we told him he couldn't really do that). Coach and his wife thanked me for the muffins and said they were very good. Coach was in a bad mood today and wearing jeans. We have never seen him in anything other than a track suit so either his wife didn't wash them for him or she was making him go out after the game. Either way he wasn't happy. It was a good game and they fought well but he still said they had a long way to go. He also sent us all an email telling us we should sign the boys up for the Sunday practice which we wil not be doing as three days is enough plus we have to have some time to ourselves over the weekend.

Dinner was at the burger place (very good veggie burgers made from rice and beans) because we were so hungry and we couldn't get in the pub which was very busy.

We tried to shop for Snowboard boots for Small by going into the second hand places. That boy's feet grow so quickly that we can't afford a brand new pair that he will only wear for four months at the most. We couldn't get any because his feet are pretty much the same size as Huffle's now and most men don't get rid of their boots until they are worn out unlike kids who change regularly as they grow! So for now he is without boots. We have signed him up for Ski Club at school which starts in December so we have a little time to find some, though in the meantime he can wear Huffle's.

We had some time at home relaxing before.........

HAPPY GUY FAWKES. Not celebrated here but as we know plenty of Brits, and the Scout Leader (also a Brit) always has a bonfire and fireworks, we went along to that and had a good Guy Fawkes fix (though no guy thrown on the fire as it is too hardcore for Canadians).

Smallest ate his weight in marshmallows toasted on the fire though some would say the marshmallows were on fire themselves!!! Michelin Chef Small of hot dog sausages on the end of a stick lost his stars due to a piece of charcoaled sausage in a bun being handed to Huffle. I tried a Frutti Tutti Marshmallow - ummmmm! The fire wasn't huge but very hot and sparky and it managed to hypnotize Huffle. The fireworks were excellent considering we were in someone's back garden.

Home, bed for the Smallest, a bit of TV and bed for the Small, then Huffle and I watched Bad Moms.
