I finished decorating the still-standing gingerbread house.
Butter icing, royal icing, glacé Icing, Chocolate buttons, silver balls, smarties, chocolate drops
This morning, Smallest set the breakfast table, with much less moaning than Small. He did a good job. The boys pulled one cracker and Smallest sat through breakfast with his crown on. We made some Royal Icing and iced the Christmas Cake. Then we got all our snow stuff on and went and walked in the forest.

We started our walk with a snowball fight.
We walked for about a couple of hours. We had no idea where we were going as the path kept splitting in two.It was beautiful, wintry, snowy, not too cold. Although the boys moaned for most of the way.
Plenty of photo opportunities for me.
Moo and Smallest climbed a really big hill and stood at the top. Moo's arms seemed to grow! They look enormous in the bottom left photo.
We walked, we stopped for a sweet or two. We even skyped the lovely Chappos. It was a great signal in the middle of the forest. We saw their Grotty Grotto and showed them our lovely views of snow.
Checked out the trees. Stopped for a photo, and maybe to throw a snowball or two. We ended the walk with another snowball fight. We came home, had lunch and decorated the iced cake.
The boys put their decorations in the cake, exactly where they wanted.
They were very pleased with their work.
Huffle and Moo made some pastry and started making more mince pies. The boys and I went delivering presents to the Royals (who invited us back later for drinks), Drew (who was just on her way to her Sisters for Christmas and gave the boys and us a present) and to ClownRose and BabyMo. (babyMo was asleep so we had to be quietish!).
We came home, the boys played. We skyped Grandma. We were skyped by Cousin E & D. We missed a Skype by the Rumbleskins.
We went off to the Royals and we had drinks and Mince Pies. Prince Royal was there with his Princess and Smallest and Prince spilt a glass of beer between them. That was when we knew it was time to go. We came home with more presents for all of us (including Moo).
The sewing machine was brought downstairs and Moo and I made the tablecloth smaller and made napkins out the spare bits. Aunt Pear and HB skyped us (think Aunt Pear was a bit tipsy!).
The boys opened one present and went to bed very excited, after they had made up a plate for Santa and Rudolph. A mince pie, a jam tart, a candy cane and a glass of Baileys. Ummm, sure they will be very pleased.
Once the boys were in bed we ate a lovely pasta and had home made garlic bread with wine (or Malibu and Coke for Huffle). A few last things were wrapped and some more yummy things eaten.
MERRY CHRISTMAS x

Merry Christmas. We had a lovely day. It was grey and rained all day and was a cool 22 degree, which was a relief after the hot and humid 35 from yesterday. Lovely to see small Rumbleskin get soooo excited this year. A shame we missed you on Skype. HAVE A GREAT DAY TOMORROW!

Happy Christmas to all Famfa's followers, we all appreciate her slice of daily life in Canada. Do have to say Huffle makes a good moody teenager. Have a super duper day today. Lovely to see and speak to you last night, but I feel I must point out I was not tipsy, just happy with the assistance of a couple or four jaeger bombs!! xxxxxx
