Andale Andale Arriba Arriba

We had a really slow morning. Huffle skyped Grandma while we sorted breakfast. Huffle and the boys watched the football, Stoke v Liverpool whilst Grandad skyped and I sat on the porch reading, knitting, drinking coffee and listening to the radio. What a lovely morning.

Once we were all changed, we went out to Unionville, this time parking in a legal spot, and went out to see the Jazz Festival again, but this time all of us.

It was a beautifully sunny day and the Main Street was alive with music. Our first stop was to listen to a man that Huffle thought could be 'The bear in the big blue house'. The boys thought he was a cross between a cowboy and the man who sings on Toy Story. We stayed for a few songs before we looked for dinner.

Whilst eating at a New Mexican Restaurant, where we were charged less than half of our bill by mistake (they let us off and said they should be more careful in the future, which was nice) we listened to a lady who sang at the keyboard. She was very good. The Mexican food didn't go down brilliantly at first. Smallest didn't like his so Huffle and him swapped but he didn't like the tacos and fished out the chicken whilst trying to avoid any spice of any kind. Small wasn't keen at first but ended up really liking his Quesadilla with beef and cheese. Huffle and I were fine.

We walked along the Main Street stopping to listen to a few musicians and bands on the way and ended up in the park. We played hide and seek until the main band came on. We found a nice shady spot on a wall and listened to them play. It was a youth band and they were great. Next we found an ice cream place which served very small portions of nice Gelato.

Wandering along the street again we happened upon a place where an African Jazz band were just staring so we found a nice shaded tree and sat and listened and watched. When the boys tired of this we moved along again and listened to a three piece band. The boys started to get restless so we went for a walk in the forest trail and played pooh sticks. It was getting very hot so we came home to go in the pool.

Today the pool temperature was 22* (too cold for me, so I sat and knitted and read and watched). All the boys went in but not for too long.

By the time we cleared stuff away and came in, it was tea time. We finished watching Igor and then the boys had their TV before bed. Huffle got on with DIY jobs and I knitted and watched Call the Midwife (wow, at this rate, Huffle's second sock will be done before next week).
