You shouldn't have sweared to a Chipmunk!*

It rained a bit during the night and then continued for most of the day. Smallest persuaded us to have 'English Pancakes' for breakfast which means Crepes. So breakfast was mid morning and I made too many so that's breakfast for tomorrow too.

We had a bit of a tidy up after yesterday's mess and hung up all of Smallest tops (as we used his hangers at the Garage Sale and then Huffle and I played a game of Catan (after re-reading the rules and making a few changes to our normal game) while Smallest played on his tablet. Smallest joined us for a game after and then we got ready to take Smallest to a party. This party happens every year and is actually Small's friend and twin sister. Lots of people go and they have it outside and it's very wet and muddy (today was no exception). Obviously Small couldn't go because he was still at camp (or on the way home) but Smallest was still invited which was nice. We had no idea how to dress him because of the weather so he went in shorts, wellies, waterproof coat!

Huffle and I dressed for the rain and went out for a strolly splash around the Hamlet. We picked up a lovely old gardening claw that someone had left out from the Garage Sale and carried it home. We had a good poggle of people's gardens and came home. We had left potatoes baking in the oven so they were ready when got back. We had a nice relaxing grown up dinner until we picked up a voicemail from Smallest saying "I'm cold and I want to come home". Bless him. Huffle picked him up and he was a big wet through mess! He went straight into the shower. He had had a fabulous time and had eaten a burger and twelve burnt marshmallows (one set on fire).

While Smallest was in the shower, Small appeared back from camp. He had had a great time too but was sick last night. Possibly a combination of food, sun and activity. He went into the shower too!

We sat and played for a while before we got ready to see Smallest play football and try out for the rep team. We turned up on a wet evening in an empty car park, next to empty football fields. There was no-one else around which instantly made us suspicious, plus the fact that no kids are allowed out to play during school when it is persistently raining in this country! We gave it five minutes and then we disappointedly drove back home. We are guessing that the rest of team had emails telling them not to come because of the rain but because Smallest is not yet part of the team, they forgot to let us know. Not impressed! Much later, Huffle had an email from SeymourButts who informed him that the Rep Practice had moved to Tuesday!! So annoying!

The boys had a play on their tablets followed by TV and guess what - arguing and fighting!!!!!!! Both went to bed tired and a bit grumpy.

A chipmunk entered our Sun Room, Huffle chased it out, swearing in the kerfuffle. Smallest heard him and said "Daddy, you shouldn't have sweared to a Chipmunk". Quite! We don't want chipmunks swearing all over our garden now do we?
