My favourite pics from the Telegraph from yesterday and today.....
Reminds me of Watership Down
Gorgeous Snow Hare
....and a quintessentially English Robin (our Robins here are nowhere near as cute).
Strong was the storm last night. The rain lashed down. This morning when we went into the Sun Room, the temperature was 30*. Wow. Smallest lay in there like he was on a beach. We opened all the doors and the temperature seemed the same outside. More storms brewing.
Grandma skyped us whilst we were having breakfast, with only five minutes to the school bus coming. We told her we didn't want her to make Small late for school!!
Smallest did some more colouring and then wrote his friend back home a letter. We got ready to go out to Costco and noticed his friend was online so we Skyped them but I spent most of the time talking to LizzieDotDot and Bernard. Smallest did read them a book though. We spoke to them for about 50 mins and then we made our way to the shop.
In there we found the biggest bear we had ever seen. Smallest couldn't even lift him.
There were some people with samples. I got a cup of Sumatran coffee - very nice. Smallest got 2 turkey sausages, sardines on cracker, apple juice and two pieces of lemon cake and some almonds he didn't like much! He thought that was his lunch until we got home and then he decided he hadn't eaten for ages!!
On the way home we saw a 'castle'. Apparently the man built for his wife and she left him!
The temperatures crept up and up today. Smallest took refuge in the cool basement and watched Toy Story 3 again, until I persuaded him to come outside and play football. He picked 100 dandelions for me and Earnt himself $1. I finished a letter to my friend (you know who you are!) and posted it.
I had a visit from a neighbour who gave advice on the garden etc. I think she sees all that goes on here (shhhh that's all I'm saying!).
Small came home and played football with us. He has a party to go to tonight. Starts at 6:30 and doesn't finish until 8:45pm and it's miles away so he won't be one till gone 10pm. His friends mum has taken him. It's at a laser quest so he is very excited.
Huffle, Smallest and I skyped HB. She has five exams coming up end of May and June so has a lot of revising to do. She still has a bit of time to talk to though. Smallest read her a book.
At 8pm this evening it was still warm. All the windows and doors are open.
Phew!
