Any Alcohol Sir?

The weather forecast was good and as it was our last full day, we stayed on our beach. As soon as breakfast was over, and a quick skype from Grandma, we headed off. Not many people on but a lot of different people. Next to us we had a loud man from Detroit (we think) who smoked his cigar and spoke very loudly. It seemed him and his wife were leaving the rest of the family and meeting up with them at a wedding in September. They proceeded to sing "see you in September" really loudly for everyone on the beach to hear.

The family the other side of us brought their whole patio set down to the beach and their silly little dog who was spoilt rotten. The humans didn't seem to realise it had legs and insisted on carrying it everywhere. Apart from when it shook itself all over our sunbrella and over Small whilst he was reading. No apologies. They made a huge fuss of it going in the water. The same family walked right through the middle of our game of jackers. Ignorance or Oblivion?

We all swam, no waves today. We played ball in the lake, jackers, football and built a super sandcastle. It had steps, tunnels, walls and towers. It wasn't too big but we were very proud of it and we had a lot of people stop and say oooh and ahhhh. Then a dog came and trampled it and wee'd on it. Then some kids came and pulled their dinghy over the top of it and completely squashed it. Well that's it, lets go home!

We had a lovely homemade pasta in our house at lunchtime before going back to the beach. Huffle wasn't feeling so good today, a bit of a dodgy tummy so we tried to let him have some peace and quiet. (Well I tried to tell the kids to leave him alone but they kept forgetting!).

We had a last walk to the dam and back with the football. Lots of new people to look at. The dam had been undammed and there were many more boats about. We watched a speedboat pull two rings of people around the lake.

By 5pm we called it a day and packed up our stuff. Everyone had showers and it was all hands on deck to get our stuff packed and the house cleanish looking. By 8pm we were gone. We didn't even stay for the sunset as Huffle said it was such a good one last night, we wouldn't be able to beat it! We got stopped by police only two minutes into our journey. They were doing a drink drive campaign. We told them we were on our way home.

The boys had the IPads and their quilts in the back and happily played until abut 9:15 when we stopped for petrol, toilet break and a stretch of the legs. Then Smallest asked to go to bed and Small put his MP3 player on ( he doesn't like to miss anything and tries to stay awake for as long as possible).

We should have come home tomorrow morning but as the weather is supposed to be nice we decided we would rather be in our garden and pool than travelling. What a lovely holiday we had.

Today I had the honour of having one of my photos chosen as 'Photo of the Day'' on Instagram. You may know by now that I love taking photos and I have many of them. Instagram is a great way of sharing photos and I join different groups and enter challenges every now and then. I was very surprised to have a photo of the day and so far (21:48) there have been 333 likes - WOW. The boys were excited because the photo is of them.
