There's snot up yer nose Grandad*

Kids in bed. Grown-ups sat around lounging, chatting. Grandad asks us a question and before we even begin to reply, he is asleep. I tried to take a photo but it woke him up - we sent him to bed. Everyone had a better nights sleep last night. We are starting to recover.

Small went off to school. Grandad and Huffle mended the fridge (the door was dodgy due to the Canadians having different bottoms!)........

Then after breakfast, the boys got on with job No3 (no2 was finding the gas pipe so we could tell the Cooker people), the second part of the gate.

Just put this screw in here....

Where did you want this ladder?

"Don't step on my little friend Mr Worm - ooooh he tickles my hand!"

Grandma and I went off to a mall to find a cooker, look at sewing machines and browse at Homesense. We started at Sears and looked at cookers. We saw some lovely ones, but pricey. The man who looked after us searched to see if he could find us a better deal but couldn't. He was helpful and explained all about the delivery and gas fitter etc etc. He printed off details of a few cookers for us to take away. We checked out sewing machines but then the lady in that department didnt have any idea about the machines and wouldn't get us the manuals to look at them. Next we had a coffee and a 'little something'.

We went into a shoe shop so Grandma could find some sandals. I said "do you have any sandals?" "No" said the man, "but we do have slippers". Grandma ran away giggling while I tried to not laugh. I still don't understand the connection between sandals and slippers. We went into Homesense and bought a few things, but nothing much. We were disappointed. We found a sewing machine which was considerably more than Huffle wanted to spend but it did exactly what I wanted it do. I put my birthday money towards it (Thank you Aunt Pear).

Grandad, Huffle and Smallest went and played MiniGolf.

They were the only ones there to start with. Smallest had lots of foot stamping with his perfectionism and he wasn't sure if he was left or right handed.

He ended up winning two out of the last three holes which caused the senior members to stamp their feet.

Grandad (who says he's an expert) managed to hit his ball into this barrel

They ended the proceedings with ice-creams.

Just a small one then!

They picked up stuff for dinner this evening and came home. When we got home, Huffle and Smallest were playing table ice-hockey and Grandad was strimming.

I had a package from my lovely friend 'Chappo' and a super letter. (Hello Chappo - miss you). We got a letter from my old neighbours who moved to Scotland (Hello CogCog & Hairy) the same time as we moved here.

From the Chappos. Love them.

Presents from Huffle and Grandma and Grandad. - the tea-towels are wilko ones

All the boys went swimming (Huffle and Grandad watched as the boys had their lessons). On the way home they met (nearly ran over) a turkey and they shouted "Happy Thanksgiving". Grandma and I made dinner. While scrubbing the potatoes we saw this face............

Oh hello, nice to meet you.

We all had dinner and then started the Star Wars jigsaw. (A foil one you know!)

*............... And it's been there for three days and I didn't tell you! QUOTE from Smallest today.

Was Smallest's comment about a worm? Sounded like another good day, tell Grandad it takes a lot of talent to actually get the ball inside the barrel! Glad you have your sewing machine and good luck with the cooker, it won't take you and Grandma long to spent Huffle' s money, wish i was there to help you do it! Have a good weekend all, I'm just chillin with my girl, that is when I can be fitted into her very busy schedule.. Today she is going with the Brownies to Cadburys World, eat your heart out boys, all that lovely British chocolate!
