What time is it Really?

We changed the clocks last night before we went to bed so the kids didn't get up too early. In fact we all had a little lie-in.

After breakfast today, the boys practised their pupeteering upstairs and then entertained us with a three-set performance entitled 'Pooh at the Zoo stuck in the Loo', 'Cow says Wow' and 'Old Lady goes to Old Navy'. We had to pay 20-25c depending on our seats and were issued with tickets which had to be kept for a future performance. There was much rhyming in their show, lots of silly voices, applause and a standing ovation at the end (which is what prompted the second performance I think).

Pooh stuck in the Loo and Paddington as the compere

Cow says Wow, Lady who shopped and Standing ovation from the adoring crowd

The boys did more practice, Grandma showered, the men 'masticked' the roof and cleared the gutter and I straightened my hair. Smallest read his reading book to me and Small.

The second show was called "The Frog in the Bog" and "The Fat Bat, Evil Rat on the Big Mat" and the puppet tent was discarded for a bigger stage. Two quite short performances, applause, money collected and stage cleared and then we had lunch.

Lunch was a good old free for all typical British cricket type tea. Once we cleared up the boys all played table football. Team Grandad won (causing havoc!). We did a puzzle that Grandma bought us which was a 3D picture of Nemo and friends and made us feel dizzy and sick.

Wrapped up for Winter, we went to Stouffville Arena to watch the Ice Hockey. This was something that Grandma had said she would like to see. It was Stouffville Spirits against Trenton Golden Hawks. Trenton won 6-5 but it was exciting because it went to extra time and then a sudden death shoot out

It was very cold in there so we were glad we had hats, gloves and scarves and a hot chocolate at half time to go with our Halloween mini chocolate bars.

The game is split into three parts and after the second part, the crowd played 'chuck a puck', the closest puck to the centre wins a $25 gift certificate.

Two and a half hours later and we headed for home. Once home, we decided to go to the fish and Chip shop so drove there and had dinner.

Grandad fixed one of our solar lights yesterday - here he is showing us how very powerful it is. We better inform the airport, don't want them thinking it is a landing light!

I have seen lots of photos of fireworks and bonfires and I am very jealous as of course we have no bonfire night here. They have never even heard of Guy Fawkes. We do have some sparklers so maybe we'll get to use them tomorrow.

The puppet show looks brilliant!

My usual sunset photos from my window have been replaced by cold dark skies but I'm hoping for some good fireworks tomorrow night.
