Daylight Saving Pockle

We forgot to put the clocks forward last night so we didn't have breakfast until 10am!!!! This prompted the boys to ask "what time will I go to bed tonight?, an hour early?". Last night was really windy and Huffle's spinney thing (Benaut) was spinning round so hard it was making lots of noise. Think we might have to WD40 as it woke me around 3am.

This time 2 years ago we were in London visiting Aunty A

Today's temperature was around 7*, sunny but cool. Huffle and the boys spent the morning watching Stoke lose 2-1 to Southampton (it was yesterday's game recorded). Smallest got bored part way through (who wouldn't) and came to see what I was up to. I rearranged all the books and other paraphernalia from yesterday's furniture move and moved all my Winnie the Pooh ornaments into the downstairs cabinet. Everywhere is looking much neater. Smallest played on the computer and Small joined him with his tablet. Small's face is looking a lot better. We have now got him using Dove Soap which is not reacting and enabling him to use my moisturiser for the dryness. Smallest keeps telling him he has 'beautiful skin' because that's what my cream says. Bless him, he is trying really hard to keep it clean and is drinking much more water.

We found more cracks and pockles on our Granite (while writing this I looked at Huffle and asked "is Pockle a real word or one we have made up". Huffle was convinced it was a real word and looked it up. Apparently it means Cat Poo - well obviously we haven't found cat poo on our granite but we have found chips which crumble when you poke them, and lines that could possibly be fault lines) so have contacted MrBasement to inform him as he recommends the Granite people to other customers. He is coming to have a look.

Huffle was very down today, partly due to the Granite and partly because we were having an 'in day' and he was restless. We decided to go out and have a burger at the really nice burger place and a mini-walk around the town.

My upside down burger board. Baldwin Street Burger.

Huffle wanted some silicone so we went into a hardware shop and the man who served him gave him ten packets of free seeds. Awww that cheered him up. We looked around a Vintage Barn and then tried the new Frozen Yoghurt place, where they let us sample the yoghurt (it's amazing how much Smallest could fit in such a tiny sample cup!). We stayed in the warm shop and ate our yogurts - very nice. We will have to take Grandad there. Talking of Grandad.........

At home, the boys stayed outside and played football while Huffle and I grabbed a cup of tea and then Huffle went out too. Cheer him up boys. We Facetimed Grandma and Grandad and that cheered him up a bit until the kids started fighting again. I don't care if it's March Break (week off from school) or the clocks are forward, they are going to bed early!

Huffle and I went to bed early too as we weren't feeling 100%.
