More Gold

There was a big storm last night. We had the candles and torches ready but there was no power cut. This morning we watched the Olympics whilst having breakfast. We saw Ben Ainslie get a gold in the sailing. That seemed a hard one to win.

We watched Andy Murray win gold. Fabulous match. We were very pleased to see him get gold. (shame about the doubles later though, still It's another medal).

The boys played together well this morning (although they thought we were being lazy just sitting and watching TV! - not just Tv, it's the Olympics!). We put our England flag (we haven't got a Union Jack) on the car.

We went out to a supermarket to get some food, and to Canadian Tire where I bought a hat and Huffle got conned into buying a hedge trimmer that seemed very cheap (until we got home and then realised the battery and charger weren't part of it, the Tire didn't sell the battery and once we do buy it, it would become extremely expensive. That will be going back then!). I also bought a wet swiffer as I have been having trouble mopping since we have been here. I have tried it already and it seems to do the job ( a damn site easier than my traditional mop and bucket too!).

As we came out of the supermarket, the rain started. We got home, put the shopping away, had lunch, watched a bit more of the Olympics and then we had to carry on the Monopoly game we started yesterday. I won.

We watched the end of the movie we started yesterday and then the start of Empire Strikes Back before we had dinner.

Mrs Royal popped rounds to give us back our key and tell us she missed us. Ahhhh, we missed them too.

Once Huffle and I put the boys to bed and read to them, we sat and caught up on the rest of the Olympics we missed.

A silver for Ohurougu. Saw Bolt's fast run. I think we are up to date now.

Isn't the Olympics the best thing. Medals galore, cousin pest going ape over his hero's win but Bolt reigned supreme. Played golf, cheated by having a buggy, golf pretty shocking but the worse I got the better my partner got! Just watched bbc news andy Murray off to Toronto now for tournament. No rain here yet, but clouds gathering. x
