Washing Day

So glad we came home last night. It is sooooo hot and humid today. All washing done and sorted and put away.

All bags packed away. Car emptied. Although it will have to be cleaned inside and out, maybe tomorrow.

We checked the pool - it was Green. Oh Dear. We backwashed it and chucked all sorts of chemicals in there. We decided it was too hot anyway to go in there today so we put the air con on and stayed inside - apart from taking things off and on the line.

We came home to a lovely big cucumber, beans climbing well and broad beans starting to 'bean', peppers starting to go red (very exciting as never grown anything other than a green pepper before) and courgettes flowering. The raccoon seems to have left us a few Sweetcorn so that's not bad.

Aunty A sent the boys some Olympic GB Lego MiniFigures - which they are very pleased with - thank you Aunty A, cant wait to see you.

We spent most of the day with the Olympics on, streaming through Huffle's work laptop (BBC - yay).

We watched the women's cycling sprint get another gold.

Whooooooo

We saw a bit of the men's long jump, the women's cycling, women's athletics. We saw Grumpy Jack Green fall. More medals. Hurray!

We skyped Grandma and Grandad and watched their rain through the window. We got an update on the Olympics we had missed yesterday.

The kids helped to put their clothes away and generally tidy stuff away, of course they were rewarded with Computer time.

We had to play Disney Monopoly (poor Small had withdrawal symptoms from it!), but we only only played until dinner time.

The pool is still green so we chucked some more stuff in it! Fingers crossed it is a different colour tomorrow. This pool maintenance is tough!

At the end of the day we watched an hour of Star Wars before the boys went to bed. They put their new wall stickers in their bedroom, had a story read and went to sleep. They have some catching up to do.

Huffle and I are shattered but glad to be home. It has just started raining. Really heavily (it waited till we watered as well!).

P.s. we have just watched a catch up of all the Olympics. Three more golds in athletics. Wahoooooo.
