Under surveillance II

What a beautiful gorgeous day. The temperature was around about 5* (that's plus, not minus) and the sun was shining so brightly. It was like a Summers Day.

No-one wanted to get up this morning, our clocks went back this weekend so whether we are adjusting I'm not sure but everyone had to be woken up. I left Huffle, working in the bunker and responsible for making sure the boys got on their school bus, and went off to a new Yoga class. The class was in the next town and started at 9am (with instructions to get there five minutes early to get a good spot) and on the way I saw the bus, so quickly called home to make sure they knew it was early. Apparently they got on it okay.

The yoga class had about seven of us in, it was really warm with the sun shining through the windows and the smell was lovely and relaxing. It was a fabulous class and I really enjoyed it. We had a nice relaxing 15 minutes at the end (it was an hour and a half class). I shall definitely be going back again.

After a quick cup of coffee and a quick change I then drove towards the lake and met up with Suffolk where we attempted a walk to the Lake. I got my directions a bit wrong and we actually ended up walking on the lake (it was frozen, we weren't that good) and then picked up the trail and walked on watching the chickadees flying by our sides. The Dogwood was fabulously red against the bright white of the snow. It was just lovely. As we got to the beach and the water, we sat on a bench and it was was so warm, we took our coats off (not even fleeces underneath!). We were just enjoying it and then Suffolk got a call from one of her kids schools saying that she needed to pick her little one up. BUMS! Off we went walking fast back to the car where we passed a dead very stinky skunk and what we thought was a pack of wild dogs but was actually a load of Canda Geese.

I did a quick shop for essentials and came home where I watched The Sewing Bee and started dinner. Tonight we had Turkey Lasange (new try, three boys had thumbs up and want it again) and veggie Lasange.

The boys came home and played on the Wii and Huffle quickly washed the cars. Late afternoon we had our undercover cop back and this time he told Huffle that it was regarding the burglaries we have had in the Hamlet recently. They said they were pretty sure they knew who it was and were actually looking down the road this time. Intriguing! They did their swap early evening and then disappeared when it got dark.

The boys had their piano lessons. Their teacher wants them to do a recital at her house with four other students of hers. She is going to do tea and punch and cakes. Small is not convinced but he says he has to do it.

After dinner Small went off to Scouts where he did a snow night hike in the local forest (the one we first discovered when we moved here). He wasn't happy when Huffle picked him up because he had problems with one of the boys and the hike was 'the same as before and nothing new'. It's a shame because he really enjoys Scouts, hopefully it was a one off.

Chuckles from the Aussie rellies about 5 degrees being like summer. Its Autumn here now and it was a humid 29 degrees yesterday. Today was a much more bearable 25. Miss Rumbleskins and I noticed the first autumn leaves today...which I do admit feels quite odd in this climate. Xx
