Once breakfast was done, the boys played together with their Lego and Go-go's, then we all got ready and went do a quick shop. Bike pump, BBQ food, the boys spent their money on some new lego.
We came home, had lunch and then sorted the bikes. Pumped my tyre up, put Small's seat a bit higher (he keeps growing) and took the stabilisers off Smallest's bike. Today was the day to teach him to ride a bike.
We cleared the patio and drive, grabbed him by the back of the tee-shirt and away we went. Round the patio, down the drive and along the path to the Royal's house, a turn at their drive, back down the street, up our drive and round the patio. It was very hard work. At times he got it completely and then as we let him go slightly, he would laugh, wobble and start to fall. Huffle and I took it in turns to hold him. He hasn't mastered it yet, we will try again tomorrow.
C'mon, stay up. Concentrate
Small bombing up and down
We all went and visited the Royals. They gave us an umbrella stand. Now I need to getthe umbrella replaced.
they had an unusual caterpillar
After all the cycling, we were quite hot, so we all jumped in the pool. It was horribly green but nice and cool.
Smallest jumping
A rare picture of me in the pool. Smallest took it.
We had a barbeque dinner of sausages, sweet potato fries, corn and finished with a 'S'mums'. It's like a s'mores only MUM made it. It was yummy.
Huffle talking to Grandad
Talking about Grandad, here is a picture he sent us of him in 1966
Ahh he looks so young.
Not sure why but Small asked me to take this one for the blog
Smallest struggling with the marshmallow in his S'mums
And here his a picture of me drinking a glass of beer for my lovely friend Aunty Miaow whose Hen Party it is tonight. HAPPY HENNING xxxAfter Huffle had finished catching up with Grandad and discussing he football, we all had a game of football (after I mended the net properly).
Phew what a day, am tired now. Huffle just said "at least we got your bloody tyres pumped up - Record that!".

We used to get the same type of caterpillar on an Italian Fennel plant we had but I don't recall if we found out what they were. There were also very colourful hornets that seemed to have some kind of symbiosis with them.
I asked the son and he said they turn into Black Swallowtails. Apparently their caterpillars eat fennel. Well you learn something new every day:)
