A fitting day

HAPPY LONG WEEKEND

A lovely lie-in, followed by watching TV with my little bears, followed by breakfast made by Small of Scrambled Egg on Toast and a bit of sewing. Then while the boys played on the Wii, Huffle hauled up box after box after box from the basement in order for the kids to find their Halloween costumes for this year. Small decided on a scary bus driver.......

Eeeeek it's horrible

......and Smallest couldn't decide between a Vampire and a Wizard (we think he chose wizard in the end). Then we sorted through all the Winter things and hand me downs from Small to Smallest. Boots, Hat, Gloves, Skates, Coats were tried on in an effort to see who needed what this year. So far only Small's coat doesn't fit him and both need new boots. There is more to try on tomorrow. Huffle also found our old copper bottom pans which we had to put away when we bought the Induction. It's lovely to see them again (it was my idea to store them away, I'm glad we did).

We didn't have lunch till about 2pm and finally made it out of the house about 3pm. We needed to buy an electric kettle (much to my horror, I love our stove top kettle and it's lovely whistle) as the gas cooker is too slow. We also needed a bit of food. We took the kids to the Charity Halloween shop where we bought a wizards outfit for Smallest, a Halloween door hanger and a head mask for Huffle. I popped into the Wool shop and bought some more rovings for my mittens as I ran out last night just before I finished them! We then did a quick trip to Dollarama where we tried on much silly stuff again and bought some glow in the dark teeth and a beard.

We tried to find a kettle in several places and finally decided on one we liked and it boils much quicker. We picked up some food and some ingredients for the kids to bake tomorrow and finally got home about 6pm. We were hungry. We made dinner and sat in front of a lovely animated thing we have found called Figaro Pho. Lots of little shorts about various phobias.

Our dahlia finally flowering. A little chickadee eating our sunflower seeds.

Lovely Fall colours along the road. A vintage car parked in the local town.
