It's bloody snowing!

It's the weekend and we had nothing to do, except get Small some jeans, get a replacement windscreen wiper, buy a piece of wood and some shelves for the pantry, get some veggies for tomorrow's dinner and pick up my bathroom mirror. So after breakfast and a bit of a Wii play, watching football (Leicester City drew in a great game), and a catch up with the washing, we went out for the day.

We got my wiper blade, shelves, fixings and piece of wood which we got cut and then tried to eat dinner at a new Italian Restaurant. Unfortunately the restaurant didn't open until 4pm so went to another place we knew and had a nice dinner. Full and warm (it was quite cold today at 4*) we then ventured into a new shop called Halloween Alley. Here we tried on lots of masks and hats and scared ourselves in the Haloween tunnel and bought Small a big eyeball mask.

There were some very freaky costumes in there.

We then carried on to get Small some jeans (why I still call him Small when he is now in men's jeans I don't know). We got him to try on the biggest pair in kids and then worked our way through the men's until we found a pair that fit him. He is now in a 30 waist (though a little gappy at the back) and 30 length. He is 12 for goodness sake. How tall is this boy going to be? Small and I left Huffle and Smallest paying for the jeans (which Huffle was pleased were 40% off) and we picked up some food for the weekend and rest of week. The boys decided on our whole weeks menu for next week which is helpful as football starts and we have a busy week ahead with lots of early meals needed.

On the way to the supermarket we noticed it was raining, except it wasn't rain, it was snow. C'MON ITS OCTOBER, WE DONT HAVE SNOW IN OCTOBER!!!!!! Luckily it stopped quite quickly but I was not impressed. We got my mirror and then came home.

The boys got the Halloween box out and tried on lots of costumes and masks and decorated the porch and garden. We will finish it tomorrow. Huffle and I stained the piece of wood and made some ingenious bookends and put it on top of the dresser in the kitchen for my cookbooks. We are very pleased with it.

The boys had a quick go on the Wii and then we had tea whilst watching The Hobbit until Smallest's bedtime. The Blue Jays lost their second game. Not good. It is the best of five so they better not lose the next one!
