One eye in the pot and t'other up the chimney

The boys at their basketball last night

I slept well last night which helped, but still felt sick with tummy ache. I decided I would go to the Doctors for evening surgery if it didn't go. While the boys waited for their bus (I sat on the porch watching them), a lady sidled up in a black car and stopped, wound down the window and asked who made the scarecrows. They didn't go up to the car and I have no idea if the driver knew I was there or not. She called them over to the car and gave them an envelope. I knew what she was doing but it did look very dodgy. It was our prize money for the scarecrow competition. We got $20 HURRAH. We are going to spend it at the garden centre when there is a sale on and then we can all benefit.

We FaceTimed Moo and had a chat, Grandad went back to his compost corner and finished up including adding a sliding door and handle, slabbing the path and digging over the remaining garden. It looks fabulous. Huffle and I now need to turn last year's compost over into the new bit before a huge bear moves in. Huffle had loads of work to catch up on today so we left him to it and Grandma and I went to Ikea. Our first stop was a cup of tea and we stuck a chocolate bar in our bag for later. It's a good job we did because in the true style of IKEA we suddenly lost an hour and found it was 1pm and we were starving.

We checked out all the kitchens and various cupboards and drawers and then went on the computer and looked at our plan. We also amended a few things and had a quick stop for lunch. We lost another hour trying to find various departments and the toilets and eventually found our way to the checkouts and had a quick look in the clearance room. In there we found a sink which was a perfect size for my bathroom. It supposedly had a scratch on it but we couldn't find it so we got it 50% off meaning it was just $30 BARGAIN. After waiting for what seemed like an eternity at the self service checkout, we headed home in the wrong direction but managed to get home a different way. We had a quick food shop and came home.

I felt better by the time we got back and decided not to go to the docs after all. Hopefully that's the end of it. The boys were home and playing on the Wii, Grandad was soaking in the bath and Huffle was still working. Grandad showed me his composting work and told me his plans for tomorrow which is a PA Day and the boys are off.

We had dinner and then played a game of Newmarket. Small won by a lot!

Glad you feeling better. Trust you burnt the lead cards to build up the ace of spades as last money card as is normal practice? Well done Small, is his finger sorting it self out?
