Beep thats my three

Up this morning at 7:30am to get to Smallest's football game for 9am kickoff. Small stayed at home. Moo and I took our coffee and toast with us. His team won 3-0 and it was a much better game to watch today. I missed the Leicester game (booo loss) this morning but Huffle rushed us back in time for the Stoke game which was delayed by an hour because of a power cut in the stadium (another loss).

Smallest's team was invited to a festival today at TFC (Toronto Football Club) where they were due to play two games and watch a presentation. We declined on behalf of Smallest because he had already played one game all the way through and we felt two more games were not necessary, plus Moo has only just got here and we wanted to get Christmas started. The Coach, at the end of the game, was telling the team how important the Festival was and that there would be people from TFC there to watch how the boys played. We felt this was quite misleading and a bit naughty of them. Huffle told one of the mums not to worry (her child couldn't go either) none of our kids were good enough to be picked by TFC! She seemed to be under some misapprehension that her child was the next big Canadian Soccer Star - he's not!

While the boys watched the football on TV, Moo and I watched the last episode of TheAWord (BBC). We all went out for lunch/dinner and then went to buy a Christmas Tree but not before Smallest tried all the musical stuff and Small and I fired missiles at each other other the aisles.

This year, my family decided they didn't want to cut down a tree in the freezing cold. We didn't do it last year because I had the flu and Moo and Huffle found us a nice one that was already cut so we just did that again! I didn't find it very easy to choose a tree that was all bound up but we knew it was a Fraser Fir and we knew it was tall enough. The man selling them told us joke after joke after joke. The tree was attached to the top of the car, we bought some nuts and went home.

Putting the tree up was a bit of a nightmare as we needed to cut the lower branches off and wedge some bits of wood in the stand to keep it steady. Eventually the tree was beautifully decorated and brought back lots of lovely memories of Christmas past.

It wasn't long before we had to head out again, this time for Small's football game at 6pm. Another dome, freezing cold outside and cool inside. Small's team won 6-2. Small got another goal (the much sought after 2) and several assists. The normal coach was absent so one of the parents stepped in (dad of liquorice lollopy legs). Small liked him better because he didn't speak too much but did give him praise by comparing him with a good TFC player.

This evening we watched the Coming Out show of ImACelebrity. Smallest has a cold and is tired. Moo might have a cold. Everyone is tired.
